Soulmates #3

Soul Love

Rate this book
Zoe comes from a line of clairvoyant, empathic women. Each one, including Zoe, is deeply connected to the world around them. Zoe's gifts are much more intense and hard to go unnoticed by those who get close to her so she often hides what she knows to avoid being seen as unstable. She's always known who the love of her life was going to be, she just hadn't met him yet. He could live halfway across the world for all she knew. But if she saw him... or if she met him ... she would know she was meeting her soul mate. The man for her. Her man to love ... Rashaad.

Rashaad only wants two things: to play his music and explore the world, and women, while he does it. So far, he's been managing that very well, until he is pulled to the less than bustling, more like unassuming, city of Pittsburgh. He figures he can just get in and get out and move on, but getting in, is more about love, and getting out, would be about leaving it. He doesn't know how to make that decision when it involves Zoe, his someone new. His once in a lifetime.

Soul Love is book three of the Soulmates series. ♥

I enjoyed the story of Zoey & Rashad finding their way together. Zoey & Rashad are the type of couple that you root for…they’re cute and what I enjoyed most was they both were totally open and honest…the commonality they shared was family issues. Leon Nixon did a nice narration job, I felt like Shari Peele sounds too old for this character. However,I’m pleased that I didn’t hear her smacking & swallowing during this narration.

3 stars Too much reliance on the idea that they are God-ordained soul mates. I wanted to see more connection and relationship development.

"Soul Love" by Aja

My Opinion:

"Soul Love" was a beautiful story; we find Zoe was soon to graduate from culinary school and guess what she was near to accomplish a goal set for her, and that was finding her soul mate, Rashaad. Rashaad was one gifted musician that was being well sought out in the entertainment business, and for some reason, he had been drawn to the Pittsburgh area. How will these two meet? That was truly something as these both lived in the same building, and we find Zoe employed as an apprentice cook that worked at the same place where Rashaad played his gig at this local spot.

This was one captivating story as these two come together. How did Zoe know that this was her soulmate? There will be some family issues [father issues] that both will struggle with that they will have to overcome. Be ready for a hot relationship that will let you know these two are made for each other. So, you must pick up the last series, 'Soulmates Book 3,' to find out all of what goes on with Zoe and Rashaad.

I loved the final chapter and that epilogue...'The Stars' was beautifully done!

I think I'm in ❤️

Zoe darling, I hope you can see this coming because I'm coming for Rashaad... Wow, this Soul love is a powerful aphrodisiac that I love immensely. The idea for this story had me hooked from the first page, and the way the story fleshed out was super cool. The relationship was visually appealing, and the storyline matched its fly... Go on and get yours; I know you want to see Rashaad too...

I had no idea this was in a trilogy. And this was the final book. 🤦🏽 i listened to the audio by the way.
Maybe that's what shaped this reading experience. I wasn't the biggest fan of this. I wanted more. I thought there would be more supernatural elements and the convos about the abilites would happen more frequently, or at least i would see more examples.
But that could be because i read the last book. So dont take my word for it.
I also didnt like the love interest. He was kinda irritating.

THE STARS HAVE ALIGNED

The women of Z and their ability to see the future are beautiful. Zoe is young, on a path to becoming a culinary genius, and is waiting for her mystery man to arrive. Not only is Rashaad her mystery man but also a neighbor as well. I loved Zoe and Rashaad together, who were instantly drawn to one another without any knowledge about her gift. Their stars aligning set them on a path for new beginnings.

Wow

I knew Zoe was special from getting to know her in the previous books. But to know what she did and be as strong as she was, took an extraordinary person. Great story!

SOUL LOVE presents the story of Zoe, the third generation of strong, beautiful Black women headed by matriarch, Zora, her aunt Zola and her mother, Zena who are all empowered with a distinct gift. The first book of the series, SHE’S GOT SOUL, features Zola, and the second book, DEEP IN MY SOUL features Zena. When we first me Zoe in Book 1, she is a precocious young girl. In Book 2, Zoe is an outspoken teenager who is aware of her special gift. In SOUL LOVE, Zoe is a young woman on the verge of graduating from culinary school, and on the verge of discovering her soul mate. Enter Rashaad, a gifted musician who is making a name for himself in the entertainment world. Rashaad rents an apartment in the same building as Zoe. He is playing a gig at a local spot where Zoe is employed as an apprentice cook, and of course, “the rest is history”.

That last chapter, The Stars, OMG! I can’t begin to tell you how significant it is to the story, and the next one. You just have to read it for yourself.

I love this captivating story and this series. I recommend SOUL LOVE for your reading pleasure. You can read it as a stand-alone, but do yourself a favor and read SHE’S GOT SOUL AND DEEP IN MY SOUL. You can thank me later.

Short and sweet

3.5 stars
This is a quick read and builds off of the other books in the series. It’s not required to read the first 2, but it might help with understanding the context and backgrounds of the main heroine.
Zoe is in school to be a chef but is aware that she is not worldly. She has the gift is sight and knows her “soulmate” is out there and refuses to waste her time on anyone else. However, what is she to do when she finally meets him and has to play it cool?
Rashaad is in town for a short gig before he moves in to the next town. He’s not expecting to meet someone like Zoe after eschewing relationships all this time. He’s a musician who has no issues finding companionship, but he can tell Zoe is different.
How these 2 navigate their possible relationship makes for a good read. You definitely empathize with Zoe knowing he’s the one but not wanting to scare him off by explaining how she’s so certain. You also understand where Rashaad is coming from as he’s a talented musician who’s not sure he’ll ever be ready to settle down.
Zoe and Rashaad were cute together and I blazed through this book to finish it in a day!

This book is #3 in the Soulmate Series. Zoe is the daughter of Zena, wise and ahead of her times. Spiritually inclined, outspoken and highly intelligent. Zoe is attending culinary school. Rashaad, a musician, new in town just moved into the same apartment complex that Zoe lives. Rashaad being a musician and a free spirit, does not plan to settle for long in one place or has any plans of settling for one woman. Zoe being spiritually intuitive knows when she meets Rashaad that he is her soulmate, but she must not let on to him this information, in fear of scaring him away. Rashaad had to come to that understanding on his own.

However, Rashaad is attracted and drawn to Zoe, something about her he cannot let go and he cannot stay away. Their first sexual encounter was a bit fast, but Zoe knew without a shadow of a doubt that he was the one and she did not have a problem letting him be the first. I like the fact that Zoe’s spiritual abilities were so strong, and I like how Zoe and Rashaad relationship manifested. I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars rating. This book was an excellent read!

My vision of characters:
• Jasmine Sanders as Zoe
• Dave East as Rashaad

This was a good story! Zoe has grown up and is ready to experience love...her promise of a soul stirring love. Her gift told her his name and revealed his face. Rashaad is a wanderer, no commitments equal no disappointments or so he thinks. Until he mets her. Their connection is fate, destiny, kismet and so it takes off quickly and passionately. Can it sustain that speed and intensity? Will Rashaad settle down for her, with her?

This is the third book in the Soul Mates Series. I was anxious for its release because the pervious books were so good. Perhaps I expected too much. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m feeling a little underwhelmed and not because the author did not deliver. The story is complete and you can see some growth in Rashaad, Zoe is still torn with her abandonment issues regarding her dad. But this smooth easy read is missing something. 🤔

I wanted more, the previous books where so deep and rich with emotion. Zoe is a seer and I expected next level emotion, not drama necessarily but depth.

There was a few editing mistakes. The intimacy scenes should have been hotter.

stars and souls aligned

These two were written in the stars!
I enjoyed all of the previous books and surprisingly I enjoyed this one the most so far.
Zoe has been such a beacon of light, love and encouragement to others. Her gifts allowed her to see and be the positive energy in their lives. I couldn’t wait to see who was made for her.
Rashaad was a talented traveling musician. He didn’t lay down roots but had no problem laying down the pipe from city to city. He had no home and home was where the heart is.
Zoe knew who he was to her instantly but now that you know, then what? This was dilemma she faced in the book. She wanted to speed it up and blurt it out but she knew she needed to slow down and wait it out. That’s so difficult.
““Stars…They are definitely there to light our path. Whether they are our ancestors or just specks of matter God placed there.” “Which do you think it is?” “Both, either. Whatever God has his hands in, doesn’t matter to me. I know I will always find my way because He made it so.”

BRAVA!!

This is series so far and the connecting side series we’re awesomeness!! I have been almost nonstop reading all 7(?) books for the past 3-4 days. I have been feeling these characters love every step of the way. It’s been a continuous journey of love for each character and as a whole I feel I have lived several wonderful lives of falling in love.
The Z women have a beautiful gift and I loved how that “trait” was weaved into the story of them! But even the friends and men had this “knowing” of their soulmate and it made the romantic empath in my feel all the love.

I’m wondering & hopeful that this series will continue with Zoe with getting to know her sister(s) & seeing Sheena finding love. As well as the updates on the other family & friends and as always, Zora ❤️. I feel so much hope want love for her the most!

Phenomenal job!!

Worth the Wait!🙌🏾

I have been waiting for Zoe's story! I always liked her, even when she was much younger in the other stories. Zoe grew into a beautiful woman and finally met her One. I love how drawn Rashaad was to Zoe even if he didn't quite understand why. You could tell it wasn't just a virile man attracted to a beautiful woman, but rather he seemed to get that there was something calling him on a soul level. And I was glad he just leaned into it. I'm also glad Zoe was wise enough not to force Rashaad's hand. She let him pursue her. They were just so cute together! And I can see them traveling the world making music and good food! Now if we can just get grandma Zora's story, my happiness will be complete!😁

The Stars Have Spoken...Again...💯💯🔥🔥💯💯

Aja has done her thing once again!! 👏🏽👏🏽 I’ve been waiting on Zoe, just as much as I was waiting on Zola and Zena, and the wait, each time, was full of anticipation and more than well worth the wait!! 😍

I loved everything about Zoe and Rashaad...Zoe’s knowing about her soulmate and the fact that her soulmate was just as drawn to her before his knowing about her special and rare gift that’s shared with the Ladies in her family!

All I can say is that if you haven’t read this yet, what the heck are you waiting on! This is an excellent book and series! You need to read them all! Go grab your copy, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!! You’ll enjoy every bit of it! I promise!! Kudos, Aja!! 💜

Well worth the wait!

This book was worth the wait, it was superb. The gifts that these women in this family possess is powerful. In some ways they can be a blessing or a curse. They have blessed these women. Zoe's gift truly leads her to her soulmate. Her and Rashaad both needed some type of healing from their past. They were able to be each other pillow. Although, both of their careers were on opposite ends of the spectrum they going to make it work. This was a great love story.

This is a great read, I most definitely recommend it. I am looking forward to the grandmother story to finally unfold. I get the feeling it's going to be mind blowing and eye opening.

Sweet!!!!

Zoe and Rashaad's story was all that and more. Zoe knew she had a soulmate and that he didn't stay in one place for to long. Rashaad was drawn to Pittsburgh but didn't know why until he laid eyes on Zoe. She did not push him but let him come to her. Their live story was soft and sweet. Filled with passion and forever love. The Stars was watching over them. Rashaad's mom was the brightest one🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!!!!! Ajathewriter has woven her Webb around us again so effortlessly🤗🤗🤗🤗. Well done Queen Aja, well done!!!!❤💖❤💖❤

Zoe! What must that feel like to know your soulmate, and to have to hold onto that information, as to not scare him away! Rashaad knew immediately that there was something different about Zoe, but what? She made him feel, smile, and want to be settled in a way he never had before. Both of them had lingering traumas from a parent, that carried over into their adult lives. Their love was powerful and intense, but also sweet and loving. Didn't want this to end, and hope that we see more of them in the future. Great read! 👍👍👍

Do you believe in soulmates? If not, Aja weaves a tale that will have you believing. Zora is a psychic that knows her soulmate before she's ever laid eyes on him. Her curiosity on why the universe has chosen him for her gets her entrapped in the mystical man named Rashaad. Rashaad, being a musician doesn't have time for love, but there's something about Zoe and her aura that has him willing to risk it all. I loved the way this author weaved this story. I can't wait to see who The Star chooses next.

This is the first book in the Soulmates series that I read. I must say, I really enjoyed the writing. There was warmth to it that matched the tender warmth of the novel.

As the blurb states, Zoe comes from a long line of clairvoyants and knows who her soul mate is. Rashaad is a musician who is in Pittsburgh until the next gig comes along, and next woman.

Loved it

This 3 installment of Soul Ties series was great
She did a fantastic job showing us how the soul mates of Rashaad and Zoe truly connected although he was not looking or believed in love like she did
Aja is a fabulous writer and while you may not believe in soul ties her writing will make you want to believe in them by the end of the stories
Each story is unique but each has a theme that love ties us together and if you allow it will bring you happiness and peace

Five star reviews for the 1st three books of this series.

Ms. Zoe is all grown up now and has done so beautifully. She turned out to be a well rounded young woman that knows who she is and what she wants. I was a little bit scared of Rashaad's reaction when she told him about her and the families gifts. But he handled it well. Now we finally get to Momma Zora. I rushed this review to get to her book.

Good Read

I wasn’t as engulfed with this one as I was with the last book. I felt like there could be more character depth here and less focus on the “ stars aligning”. I feel like there’s so much more story to tell here. Zoe is such a dynamic character and I feel as if we didn’t really get to understand her or how she grew through this relationship. Reshaad’s character seemed very surface level. I think there’s so much more to him than we got to see.

Soul Stirring

Zoe and Rashaad's soul love was deep and soul stirring. Both dealing with unresolved issues that shape their relationships. Both growing from their unresolved issues. Zoe learning to live in the moment inspite of being able to see her future. Rashaad learning it's ok to set roots. Soul Love is a soulful look at young love. Great read.

Feel Good

This author wrote a story that well made me feel good. It took off and unlike so many other stories in this genre it didn’t have a break up to make up part. I found that to be quite refreshing. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and no one comes along causing unnecessary drama. But it was still a good read that is a definite page turner.

Deep

Love is an action word it was seen throughout the entire story. The love for food, family, the guitar, and travel. Family dynamics were powerful. Watching Zoe and Rasheed learn to forgive and trust her gift was amazing.
