What Members Thought
Once again, all I could have wanted -- even if I didn't know it beforehand. Carriger has such a way with characterization that I just love her main characters deeply by the end. And, as with the last one, there are parts I can identify with so well and that just makes the happy ending even more satisfying. I'll read every book in this that she wants to release!

This one just didn't quite work for me. I didn't fall in love with the romance, with the characters, or with the story, and at least one of those is needed for a book to be truly successful. Worse, I think I mildly disliked Isaac? And on a technical note, there were a depressing number of typos/editing misses. Still, I read it quite quickly, and I won't claim that I hated it. It was fine for what it was, but at the end of the day, it was a bit mediocre for me.

Two lovely characters who both need to learn their place in the world, and in the found family they create.
An excellent addition to this series! A wonderfully done queer romance, touching lots of topics in a really sensitive way. Interestingly this story also dealt a lot with family- the both the one you start with and the ones that you can make.
I have a first edition and there seems to be some errors... The author's note at the back of the book is for the Sumage Solution.
