Okay, so I had already finished this book two days ago yet I had to mentally chew this over, again and again.
I have so much to say about it but because of how this book is written I can't or else I might spoiler you easily.

We have the POV's of 20 years old Viv Delaney, a girl who ran away/moved out hastily from her recently divorced mother in 1982 …and of her niece Carly Kirk, also 20 years old who just lost her mother to cancer, in 2017.

This is such a great book for anyone who enjoys true crime podcasts and likes a creepy mystery. It’s very atmospheric with a dual timeline that kept me reading late into the night.

(2). Then and now. Carly and Viv. Back and forth and back and forth. And guess what? It all comes together at the end. What a surprise! No, not really in the slightest. Some of this works but most just goes and goes and goes. Not my cup of tea (obviously). Very medium, new styled stuff.

Do you like creepy hotels? How about corporeal ghosts? And unchecked serial killers? This book has it all very nicely woven together. This is an excellent fall turning to winter hunker down and get spooked kinda book. It was fun and twisty without being too gritty.
