Star crossed lovers dipped in heaps of fate and folklore. The Devil Himself is a story written in the stars, surrounded by tragedy and a ton of love. It is the best continuation to a book I've ever read!!
As much as destiny tries to push Damien Hughes and Clover Doyle together, life keeps stepping in the way and trying to rip them apart. These two fight for their lives and their growing love over and over again and just when all seems lost, in the most epic fashion...I'll just say, The Devil Himself has the best ending fit for fated lovers.
Damien and Clover are tied in a way that even they didn't understand at first, but something draws them together and the connection is strong. Both Clover and Damien have had tough childhoods, and that first bit of connection builds some trust between them before even more things begin to click into place.
"Damien would never hurt me. I knew that. I did. But the lieutenant? He hurt everything he touched."
Damien is a lieutenant for the Russian Federation that is currently attacking Ireland, but he's torn in two since he's also half Irish. There is so much that goes into how Damien and Clover meet, but every moment spent together, every moment they spend fighting to save a country they love along with their own lives, it all comes to a head in one epic battle and WOW, what an ending it is!
"I wasn’t some heroic Irish spy, like she was telling herself. I was the sole heir of the Russian Bratva."
Make time to read this book in one sitting. It was impossible to put down and it's another huge hit for Easton!!...more

Charity did a great job of connecting Sinful Sacrifice fits perfectly within the Marchetti world and it's a new beginning for the Lucky Kings series. Charity did a great job of connecting characters for fans of the Marchetti family while making readers-me, I'm readers-love this new one.
Damien Bellini is a man obsessed and there wasn't one time I didn’t like this dark, sinful, made man. He is head over heels for Pippa right from the beginning and the thoughtfulness he displays from start to finish is drool-worthy. There is literally nothing he wouldn't do for Pippa, that is how much and how deeply he cares for her. Damien is a top tier book boyfriend!!
Pippa is also quite smitten with Damien, but she is ultimately afraid to commit. Her family is her albatross in so many ways and instead of just believing in Damien and the love they have it always comes back to that albatross that pulls her down.
Damien and Pippa are super steamy, probably the steamiest couple Charity has written to date, who also have no problems crossing over into dark themes. Meaning, Pippa is very aware of what Damien's job is and loves him aside from what he does on the daily. Their love for one another shines through, above all obstacles, and that is the story that carved through my heart and melted me with all the love that these two shared even with their obstacles.
In Antonio Lombardi and Gigi's book there was a sense of a before and after story between Damien and Pippa, now all the answers have come to light and I'm thrilled with how their story unfolded. While this is interconnected to the Marchetti mafia, this book certainly stands on its own and brings forth a new family of mafia men and ladies to fall in love with....more

Welcome back to Carnage where morals are left at the door and evil reigns supreme. I love returning to this world, if only to let my dark side run free for a few days, it's fantastic.
Madness centers around Haidyn Reeves and so far, of the three brothers, I'd describe Haidyn as the teddy bear of the three. An insane, psychotic teddy bear, but he's...the sweetest...I don't even think that is the right word here, but I'm sticking with it. So let's see if I can do better. ...more

Bones seems tired, with the Kings empire and all of his side hustles, he really needs a queen by his side. I was ready for his book and the prefect woman who would be strong enough to handle this mysterious King. His kink, his strength, his presence, he needed the perfect woman and Mia did not disappoint.
From an early age, Bones is told - love makes a man weak - while he didn't necessarily understand what that meant when he's a young boy, as he gets older the concept solidified as he watches each of his brothers fall for their queen. While he would lay down his life for the men who have stood by his side, he never found a woman that he could say the same, until Mia. She brings out every instinct in him that terrifies him. Things he's never felt and the worst part of it all is that she's forbidden, untouchable, and his best friends little sister.
Mia has never felt loved. A prisoner in her own home, she's only ever wanted a normal life, but taken, sold, and then bought by a lunatic her life seems even more doomed until she slowly begins to fall for her captor and discover that in place of his black heart beats a wild passionate man. Mia discovers a new family in the Kings and their Queens and perhaps a new future with Dillon if he'd only open up and allow himself to love.
There were moments in this book that completely wrecked me, but love proves that it doesn't make a man weak, it only strengthens the bonds we hold dear.

The story picks up right where we left off in Soulless Saint and this book never lets off the gas. It was full throttle as the Saints battle for their lives and Becca was right in the mix with her men proving she wasn't going to run and hide. She was so much stronger than the Becca of the past. Proving something to her past self, this girl dug deep and pulled out the friendship she had with Ava Jade and her growing relationships with Kaleb and Hardin to help thicken her skin and become the Becca 2.0 she wanted to be. It was fantastic to watch her really come into herself.
As for Kaleb and Hardin, their relationship didn't change much, except in the sharing department around Becca. They are brothers and have never shared a woman before, but Becca is special and I'm going to give credit where it's due...Kaleb is a unique individual that sort of keeps the tension down and helps the bros bond. I'll leave that nugget lying right there because I love him for all of his qualities, right along with the qualities of the other guys. That's right, I did say guys ...more

I loved the tension, the push and pull, and ultimately the vibes of dark secrets that radiated off of multiple characters and even off the environment Aileen lived in. It really made for excellent reading!

Boldt has taken usPositively mind bending!! When Lies Unfold is a tangled tale of suspense and twists that just kept unraveling up until the very end.
Boldt has taken us, readers, to the South American jungles and immersed us in the dark world of the cartel. Santiago Hernández is very much the antihero of this tale as the head of the organization, but Lola Aries is a woman wrapped up in lies and deceit. Who is really the villain and who is telling the truth?
Lola was a woman living a quiet life as a cleaning woman, but in the blink of an eye her entire world changed and she was thrust into Santiago's world. Neither of them were prepared for each other, but who is ever prepared for drastic life changes?
The ties, the twists, the really big moments were all so mind altering crazy, I would shout out every single time.
I don't want to say too much because of all the twists and turns. This is a book that needs to be enjoyed at the precise moment when things happen. Although, I will say, I loved how everything tied up and turned out in the end. I appreciate no loose ends.
This book contains high heat passion, a tortured heroine, found family, a morally gray hero with a swoony heart, soul mates, close proximity, tragic pasts, and so much more.
It's a dark story that also contains so much light and hope, so while it may not be for everyone it is for those who believe in the antihero's....more

Like a modern day Romeo and Juliet, Antonio and Gigi are two sworn enemies because of their family name. If it wasn't for the fact that their last names were Marchetti and Lombardi their love story would be very different, but given the fact that she's a mafia princess and he's the second son of a don, their relationship is doomed from the beginning.
From their very first interaction these two are pure fire! So while they both know they should stay away from one another, they just can't. Instead they both lust and obsess over each another through the entire book and boy are they hot.

The words to express my awe over Silas and his journey would never compare to the experience of reading the book itself. Monty Jay is exquisite in how they handled every moment from beginning to end. So, while this book is dark and certainly falls within the morally gray world, the aspects regarding mental health were, for lack of a better word, beautiful.
While Ponderosa Springs has been infected with darkness and the events that started when Silas lost Rosemary are all rolled into that same pit of evil, one would almost call it fate how all of the events have fallen into place, how each Hollow Boy has found their happiness within their life and how now fate has thrust Coraline Whittaker into Silas' life. These two souls are now crossing into each other and this is their story.
Silas has always been the silent one. Locked in his own mind, but this boy, or let me rephrase that and say, man has been waiting to unleash his well of trust, love, and dirty, filthy, and deliciously depraved mouth on the right woman since he lost Rosemary. Oh, my lord!!! Silas is every dark, dirty fantasy wrapped up in this final book.

First off...poor Apollo, he physically takes the biggest hits in this book while we get more of Jace and Wolfe which do help compensate for that.
The hate-meter between Jace and Kora is boiling, but it also makes the sexual tension between them super high too.
Wolfe's darkness seeps to the forefront and with that I can't wait to see what unleashes ad this story progresses.

Yes, Nyx and Saint make appearances and I love that the god-like theme continues throughout the plot.
Kora is FMC and she's feisty when she needs to be and the right amount of docile too. Perfect for a RH book.
There is just enough plot to keep the pages turning, while also just enough steam without this first book burning it all up in one go.
I'd say Hades/Jace has the most distinctive personality, he fits his leader of the underworld persona best when it comes to Kora, Apollo who is just Apollo and Ares/Wolfe are sometimes easier to mix up, but as the story went along their characters got more flushed out and I'm looking forward to learning more about each of them.
Overall an excellent start to this dark and steamy series....more

This isn’t a fluffy tale of sunshine and roses, it's gray meeting darker shades of gray. However, it is a story that highlights love is love in every way. When two people are meant to be together they just fit and Bunky and Whaley are two puzzle pieces that fit no matter how you spin them. It's crazy, it's passionate, and at times it's a little psycho, but that's love.
From the beginning we have spunky, over-the-top Bunky who absolutely knows what he wants and that is falling for Whaley, who is not only older, but gruffer and would seem opposite, but they have a lot in common. While Whaley does his best to keep Bunky at arms length...at least in the beginning...it is like trying to hold back a tornado.

Nightmare Girl is dark, but also witty, full of twists, and packed full of suspenseful intrigue.
Lazarus is an intriguing man to begin with. A paid hitman for his family business, but that's only part of who he is and what his job entails. He's also plagued with prophetic dreams, or nightmares as he sometimes likes to refer to them, hence the name he gives his most recent dream prophecy; nightmare girl. It's in one of these dreams that he first sees Leighton and becomes irrevocably linked to her.
Leighton has no idea about the danger circling her life or about the man dreaming about her. Whether it's Lazarus coming into her life or the actual danger that comes first could be an argument up for debate, but regardless of the threats that pop up in Leigh's life there is no denying the chemistry and love that ignites between them almost instantly.
Their love story isn't conventional, but it's fast paced with tons of suspense and lots of surprises. It's full of spice and passion and a possessive hero that falls hard for his woman. ❤️...more

I loved how the story weaved back and forth from past to present, which kept the plot flowing and definitely kept me turning pages late into the night.
We meet Theo and Sal as grown men, but then immediatly are thrown back to when they are in high school. Their story continues to weave between the past and present, their tale layed out , much like a puzzle that will eventually show the whole picture, as each chapter goes along. It not only built the suspense of the plot, but also built the relationship between the two men. It was the perfect way for this book to be pieced together, at least in my opinion.
Theo is the son of a judge, making his life a bit difficult, especially when he goes to school with many of the kids whose parents his dad has incarcerated. That is only part Theo's meek persona, the other is wrapped up in his sexuality, which he hides behind his relationship with his best friend Lea. Sal is one of the few who looks behind the fake relationship he has Lea, but looking is just the beginning. I really enjoyed the character growth that Theo went through; beginning as a youthful, almost scared of his own shadow teen up to a man fighting off the mafia. His entire journey was really great to watch.
As for Sal...I really respected Sal's close family, his cousins for instance. In a mafia family there are normally expectations and toxic male stereotypes, so I really liked that Sal's close relatives didn't push him away, or look down on him for who he liked or wanted in his bed. There was a lot going on in his family, as far as who was in charge and whatnot, but aside from the politics going on, I seriously enjoyed the dynamics between Sal and his cousins.
The chemistry between the two guys is great, no matter what age we got them at, if there is any complaint, it's that the ending came too quickly, I was actually hoping for more. I was loving all the tension and suspense and then it was over. I did love the epilogue as it was a wonderful follow-up....more
