I always enjoy Ginger Scott's books and when I saw she had a new series with a boarding school I was here for it. This one fell a little flat for me. It wasn't bad by any means, but the first half was slow for me and didn't pull me in. I liked the last half much better and I'm definitely curious about the next two books in this series!

This is the book I've been waiting for! The Choice speaks for itself, and let me just say... I couldn't be happier with the choice Mallory made! Jillian Dodd has a real addictive quality to her writing and this was a page turner!
The gang is still on break from school throughout the entirety of this book. Finishing this break, Mallory's parents finally being in London and lots of big things on the horizon for Mallory's love life. I loved all the Noah we got in this book, and Mohammad who is a favorite was so much fun.
The ending of this one had me dropping my jaw. And literally face palming and laughing from second hand embarrassment and honestly gave me so many feels. I loved this book and I have been obsessed with this series from the beginning! I can't wait to see how the next book plays out! ...more

I had such high hopes for this book after loving Jenny Han’s ‘To All the Boys’ series. I really wanted to watch the show so I thought I better read the book first. Though I did like some of this book, I didn’t love it as I expected I would.
It felt like there was a lot going on without much happening for much of the book, and then the end wasn’t satisfying for me. I also didn’t love the constant flashbacks. I may continue on with the series, we’ll see. I will say, though- the narration was fantastic. The narrator gets a 5 star rating and if you’re planning on reading this I would highly recommend listening to it.

This is Talia Hibbert's first foray into YA and I think she did a wonderful job. I love a good friends to enemies to lovers story and Bradley 4 stars
This is Talia Hibbert's first foray into YA and I think she did a wonderful job. I love a good friends to enemies to lovers story and Bradley and Celine were both great.
Bradley and Celine used to be best friends but then a rift happened between them and they're not friends. Not even close. When Celine signs up for a survival course in the woods and Bradley also goes, they have to learn to get along again. Or at least work together. What they end up learning is maybe they don't dislike each other near as much as they've thought.
Celine was such a confident heroine and I loved that. Bradley was a sweetheart and I think Hibbert did an accurate job depicting his OCD. Loved that representation. I enjoyed this one a lot and the end left me with a smile on my face. ...more

Caitlyn is a ten year old girl who is learning to cope with something traumatic that happened to her family. She doesn’t always see things the same as other people and I enjoyed reading her journey. This book was hard-hitting and dealt with some difficult topics, but the ending was as good as it could be.

This is my first Julia Wolf book that wasn’t a rockstar romance and I enjoyed it so much! This is categorized as a dark high school bully romance- but for me personally it felt like bully romance light. I guess it depends on what types of books you’re used to reading. Still, it’s not a super light YA romance by any means so go in prepared.
Grace starts her senior year in the school she started high school at, but she hasn’t been there for a few years. It takes her a while to make friend again and get into a groove. Her life is so different now than it was before. Sebastian is someone that wasn’t in her life before, but he’s popping up everywhere now. I love a possessive hero and that was Bash. There was something towards the end that wasn’t my favorite, but I still enjoyed the book overall. I can’t wait to continue on with this series!

This was adorable! Benny is the sweetest hero I’ve read about in a while. It was almost a 10 hour audiobook but it flew by- such an easy and sweet read. I’ll be honest, Reese aggravated me at times. I understood her reasonings for some of her behaviors but it frustrated me. Then I remembered she was 18 and had just graduated high school so I cut her some slack. I was happy with this book by the end and I never get sick of cooking show books!

Wowzers that was a lot of drama in such a short amount of time. I’m so glad I re-read the first ‘Fallen Crest’ book recently because I would have been so lost. This one just jumped straight in. I did feel Sam’s character was much different than the first book. She was such a baddie in book 1 and now she seems different. Either way, even though I didn’t love it as much as the first, this was still an addicting read and I’m excited to jump into book 3 soon.

Misfit is Elle Kennedy's newest addicting read. This book kept me engaged from start to finish. I listened to the audiobook and never wanted to push pause.
In this story we follow RJ whose mother recently married Fenn's father. RJ has been to his fair share of public schools, but now he's in this new all boys boarding school for, well, misfits. Misfits, delinquents, all of them have one thing in common. They're rich. All but RJ.
RJ meets Sloane and he's enthralled by her. The thing is... she's off limits. She's the headmaster's daughter. This book has a lot of drama, and a lot of POV's/characters to follow. Not only do we get RJ, Sloane, and Fenn's perspective, we get their other two friends- Silas and Lawson.
Although I liked all the characters and didn't find it hard to follow, I still was thrown off by the multiple POV's. You really have to pay attention to see whose part of the story you're on. The ending was a bit jaw dropping and I wouldn't call it a huge cliffhanger, but it leaves you wanting so much more!
For fans of that teenage angst, drama and romance, check this one out!

It pains me that this book didn’t work for me in such a big way. ‘Fall From the Tree’ is one of my all-time favorite YA books and I had such high hopes for this one.
It has heavy subject matter, but that didn’t bother me. It is told in reverse, which made things confusing and I never felt the story was cohesive. Also, being told in third person I didn’t feel what I wanted to feel from the characters. The end was sad, yes, but also anticlimactic.
I know there will be readers out there that loved this one, but sadly it just didn’t work for me. I probably should have just DNF’d it at the 40% mark when I realized how much I wasn’t enjoying it, but I had hopes it would get better :/

I remember reading 'Fallen Crest High' almost a decade ago. It was my first Tijan book and one of the first of it's kind. You know, the high school bully-ish romances. It was addictive and I'm honestly not sure why I never continued on with the series but I think I'll be rectifying that now.
As I read Mason, I loved getting to see more of the why. Why he was the way he was and what was going through his mind. This was a prequel but reading after the first Fallen Crest book is great because you actually know these characters.

Set Me Free takes place in the early 1800’s and is the sequel to ‘Show Me a Sign’. I find these books so interesting, not just for the historical aspect, but the own voices deaf representation. I liked the first book a bit more than this, but still a good read. Overall I would recommend these books.

I've always found thought about how challenging it would be to live in a place without running water, indoor plumbing etc, but that is the reality for eleven year old Rigel and she loves growing up in Alaska. When her parents get divorced and she and her sister move to Connecticut with their mother it's quite the culture shock. What I didn't think much about was how different it could be to go from Alaska to a house with four bathrooms, a fridge and freezer, etc.
I thought this book was so interesting. Seeing Rigel acclimate to her new home and surroundings and figuring out a new normal. I especially liked the parts with Blueberry.

While I liked this book more than the last, it still was’t as good as the first for me. I hate when a series peaks early on. I feel like by the time I was truly feeling her love for the hero, he was kind of meh about her and it was frustrating for me. I just didn’t feel all that chemistry I did earlier and I felt the ending was rushed. I liked the series overall, and the ending was good, I just wish there was a little more of an ending/epilogue.
