The book by Peter Tremblay is a political masterpiece that relies on facts that are obscured from the eyes of citizens. The book points out all the slips and cracks in the law and measures enforced by the Government of Canada on the issues of the pandemic. It was quite surprising to read the hidden agendas and information that is intently obscured to prevent the outbreak from people. With the vaccine that is administered on the global level arises the speculations of the use of substances with technology to alter the genetic make-up of humans, and this places everyone’s liberties at stake.
The book is an asset to savor for ones with an interest in current affairs, politics, and hidden enigmas. Additionally, the author has a sublime language that radiates his emotions....more

The first thing that I thought when I saw the title of this book was, "Wow, that is bold!". And when I began reading it, I could only appreciate the words written within its pages. Manchard speaks some hard truths about being an entrepreneur as he promised in the title. My brother has his own business which he has nurtured for almost fifteen years now, and have seen some of the struggles detailed in this book. Manchard also gives hope and inspiration, the light at the end of the tunnel, if you will. As an entrepreneur, knowing they are not the only ones who struggle and knowing that is hope, could be the push they need to keep going. I think this book, even if one does not own a business, could still learn a thing or two from it. I know I did, and will be recommending this book to others, like my brother....more

I love a good joke. From the innocent kind to the morbid, if it makes me laugh, I will take it. As this book is tailored for kids, it was very interesting for me. There were plenty of puns (which I also love!) that had me laughing or shaking my head because it was, literally, a dad joke. But what really intrigued me was the fact that this book can help children realize that reading is fun once they see how game-changing expanding on their vocabulary is. The creativity that is sometimes needed to use innuendos and puns is astonishing, and something to be praised. I loved this book, and will most definitely be reading it with my children once they are a bit older. I would recommend this book to anyone!...more

In this action-packed story, we meet Amanda and Domonique as the two female protagonists. Depending on the chapter, the reader gets to walk in the shoes of one of these characters (along with Kaiser and Karma, the male leads). Amanda has been in a relationship for a few years, but her boyfriend is not who he used to be. Domonique is a work-minded woman who has not been able to find love. When these women meet, their lives are forever changed.
Karrington does a very good job of writing the realistic scenarios. The women could be someone I may have met, and I have heard stories of men acting the way Kaiser and Karma do. I was entranced by the story. I found myself going back and forth with the relationships, trying to decide which dynamic I liked better. In the end, I rooted for both women. The men, too, had their issues, and sometimes I related to them just a bit more. I will certainly go back and read the first book to answeer some of the questions I had on story background. Overall, a really great book and one I would recommend....more

I am so happy to be able to read "X Point" by B.A. Crisp. "Red Bird" was a phenomenal book, and this one is no different. Picking up where "Red Bird" left off, we are with Sam once again as she wakes up in a military hospital and given the chance to go to other realms. I loved the character development in the first Quanta Chronicles book, and in this one, the character development is even stronger. Well-written, with action and suspense to keep the reader entertained, the plot and characters are what really drive the story for me. I love how the emotions just leap off the pages! It makes me feel as if I am right there with Sam and the others as they go on their journey. I loved it and would recommend it to other sci-fi lovers!...more
Offering an extremely detailed explanation of what the plans cover, "Why Medicare Advantage Plans are Bad" by David W. BynonGreat Informative Reading!
Offering an extremely detailed explanation of what the plans cover, "Why Medicare Advantage Plans are Bad" by David W. Bynon was very informative. An in depth look at the different plans in Medicare, this book is worth a read. From how these plans work to getting and receiving assistance from the government, this book will help the reader make informed decisions about which plan to choose. Even if the reader is not of an age where this information is immediately necessary, it does not hurt to have. I will certainly look into my parents' coverage and see what they have. I can only be grateful that I found this book. Well-written and in a format that allows different types of people to read it, I would recommend this book to anyone looking to learn about these plans or know of someone who can benefit from it. ...more

This book could not have come at a better time. I am currently going to school for a management degree, and have always been told that I have the capability to be a manager or leader. The things I read within these pages have helped me really think about what sort of manager I want to be. I do not like conflict where I know I may inadvertently hurt the other person, but there is a section here for dealing with tough situations as a manager. Another area that I want to familiarize myself with is giving feedback. Potter goes into detail, describing how to give feedback and even help set goals. I truly enjoyed reading this book, and will refer to it again once I finish my degree and am in a place where I can apply for such a position. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to be in a management position, or is already in one and can benefit from reading it to improve themselves....more
Having read other books in this series, I knew I was going to have a good time reading this one. The six friends are back, and Action packed and epic!
Having read other books in this series, I knew I was going to have a good time reading this one. The six friends are back, and with even more at stake than before. In each of their Threads, they have to deal with Loke using all of the power at his disposal to wreak havoc. The friends experience new and terrifying things that will put their faith in themselves (and possibly each other) to the test. As long as they can surpass that, they have a chance to save the world. Wonderfully written and action packed, the fifth installment in the Ragnarok series is my favorite so far. The characters have grown but still maintain their relatability to the reader. I still find the three timelines (Threads) an interesting concept and give credit to the author who can keep it all straight. I cannot wait for the next book; I loved this one so much! I would recommend it to anyone....more

I cannot say this enough: I love children's books! They have so much to teach, and not just to children. Teenagers, young adults, and adults can all learn something from them. I love reading these types of books because I have worked in an elementary school before and can attest to some of the antics children have done and said. This book is a bit different because the world is in space, her mom is an alien, and Eudora was adopted by these wonderful beings. Seeing how she is the different one, the "alien", she has to prove herself to the others and the way she does this is truly amazing. Such an amazing little girl and with guts to boot. I loved her and the story and would recommend it to anyone, even adults. ...more

Book two in the series is a continuation of the first and picks up where the first left off. Tianna has decided to live a normal life, falling in love and just living. As always when fate and destiny are involved, she is forced to go back. New enemies with special abilities and lost soldiers keep Tianna busy. The enemy itself cannot be identified, and Tianna wonders how the mission can be completed when the enemy is so good at hiding their identity. Just as the first book had me captivated, this book followed the same route. I loved it from beginning to end, and want to read more of them. Tianna is such an interesting character. The more she grows, the more I like her. I completely understand her to want to live a normal life. Destiny has a funny way of not letting us do what we want when there is something we must do. A tale of mystery taking place in a land I do not hear of often is what had me interested in this book. PI Scott Jarvis is able to get his life into some sort of order after going on a search for a German U-boat. Miles and his ex-wife are in a multi-million-dollar battle for their company. Clay and his family get pulled into another struggle for power that could potentially expose some secrets. Jarvis has to go muddle through lies and deceptions to find the truth. An exciting book with plenty of action and intrigue, I could not put it down. I wanted to see if Jarvis could get to the bottom of the situation before any casualties came about. A really great read! Real Estate can be tricky, but with "The First Property" by Drew Bell, it does not have to be. Bell gives the reader a guide into the real estate world with personal stories and sound business decision-making. Not only that, but this book can also be a great motivator if one truly wants to enter into the real estate game for the long haul. Giving practical advice, Bell takes the reader into this world while explaining the ins and outs of it. As I was reading, I recalled many things others have told me about what to look for when purchasing any monetary asset, but most importantly real estate property. A collection of short stories and poems, "Oppositions" by Bambi Cassidy really had me wanting to read more. There was one selection I read that had me thinking back to my first love. She mentions waiting, crying, chances. I remember that feeling all too well, and while I can look back at that time without getting upset, it was still a sore spot for me for a while. There were many good stories within these pages that I will come back to simply because of the mood or emotion it invoked in me. Cassidy did a great job of bringing the imagination to life with her words. If the reader wants to sit back and relax with a good book but does not know what to read, this is a good place to start. Multiple short stories and poems with heartfelt words being the focal point will make this a book I recommend to others. I will also be coming back to it myself whenever I want something short to read to get my mind off more difficult things. Loved it!...more
I have always been interested in the lives of dancers and musicians since theirs are lives very differeA Different and Wonderful Look on Love and Life
I have always been interested in the lives of dancers and musicians since theirs are lives very different from mine. While I like to dance and listen to music, I do not dance often and cannot play a single instrument. This book let me live vicariously through these characters, and I could feel the burden they each carried. Tom is an older man who came to New York in the 1980s. Cammie is a dancer who finally gets a part in a show. They meet, these two from different timelines, and help each other in the best way possible. Each of then had their own issues and pandemics to deal with (although Tom also had to deal with COVID-19) but somehow pulled through. I loved seeing their feelings evolve and mature, which showed that age does not matter for emotions such as love. I like reading this type of realistic story because it does not feel so fantastical or out of reach. It can happen. And maybe it will. I really loved this story and would recommend it to anyone....more
A.D. Morway's Delsar: The Champion & The Hero is one of those stories with great potential for a series. After the Queen's Wonderful Journey of Growth
A.D. Morway's Delsar: The Champion & The Hero is one of those stories with great potential for a series. After the Queen's murder, Delsar, who used to be known as The Champion Arviakyss, was charged with her death and became known as the Outcast. Since then, he has roamed for six years selling his mercenary skills and charging an abundant amount of money for it. He meets Elidria at a tavern, who recognizes him as the queen’s champion. She pleads with him to help her save her village at her father's request. So the journey begins.
As a first-time author, Morway did a fantastic job at developing the characters in the story. I loved Elidria's abundance of energy and persistence in helping Delsar. I also appreciated Delsar's moodiness and his self-inflicted punishment since being an outcast. Their portrayal is sufficiently accurate to their role in the story. With Elidria's help, Delsar finds part of his old self and regains his confidence as the Champion. The description of the scenery gave the reader a sense of location for the characters as the story progressed. I wish there had been more characters for Delsar and Elidria to interact with for further character development. Even so, Delsar's development proceeded well throughout the story. Elidria had some growth but stayed pretty much the same by the end, just a bit more mature. I truly feel this could become a series, especially with the potential journey the book's ending gave in the final chapter. The author could expand upon the land and time in which the story takes place in a sequel. I would love to read about this new adventure of rescuing those mentioned at the end. Overall, the story was well-written for a first-time tale, and I look forward to more books written by this author. ...more

With my love of mysteries knowing no bounds, I was eager to begin this one. At first glance, I thought it was just another missing person's case, but it quickly turned into something else. Eager as I was, I was a little apprehensive that it was a missing person's case as they sometimes get drawn out. The story held many twists and turns, but it did not feel as if it was dragging at any point. The CID and the rest of Jackson Villa race against time to find the missing businessman. Boy, it had me hooked. I could not put it down and stay up well into the night! The writing style is clear and well-developed. I did not feel as if I was falling behind or getting bored at all. There was confusion mixed in which comes with the territory when solving a case, but they did not seem impossible for the characters to handle. Truly a great read! I loved it and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good mystery....more

An intriguing title should equal an interesting story, and it is true with this book. I love titles such as this one because it draws the reader in, and the story will do the rest. A mystery that begins with Sam Casey's death leads Ean on a ride he probably was not expecting. Along with Madeline, who is as interesting as the rest of the ensemble, they investigate who killed Sam. With foul play being a possibility, the plot and storytelling kept me guessing. When I thought I might have had an idea of what happened, I go to the next page and encounter something that led me in a different direction. The characters seemed real enough to me that I sometimes spoke to them aloud as I read and asked questions. A great story, a well-thought-out plot, and characters to cinch the deal, "Who Killed Sam Casey" by M. Gaye is a book I could not put down. I would recommend it to anyone....more

Even if things do not normally go wrong, they can. When it comes to business, especially nowadays, social media can be a game changer. This book talks about two core practices that will help the social media aspect. Insightful and a guide, “Crisis Averted” teaches the reader about the crisis management and that which can make or break a company/business. An interesting read that has the potential to give a business the power to be successful. What I really like about it is that it is not aimed at just one type of business. The lessons within can be tailored to many types of business and organizations. Truly a wonderful addition to any company’s collection. I highly recommend this book....more

A lovely story about fourteen-year-old triplets who live with their aunt, “Bugs, Weeds, and Water” by Evangeline Greene was a welcome read. Aimed at a younger audience, it nevertheless intrigued me simply because of the title. The mysteries that abound in this story were plenty for these girls, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I loved all of the characters in the story because they seem very realistic. With many secrets to unravel, I marveled at the maturity Zoey in particular displays. The fact that she can understand that “normal” is how one perceives things was astonishing to me, but not unexpected. After all, when one goes through situations that are there to help us learn, one can only grow if it is allowed. I loved this book. I thought it was endearing with more than enough to keep the reader interested. I would recommend this to young readers because it will not disappoint....more

I could imagine them in front of me as I read the story and found myself speaking of them and to them at certain points. I credit the author for making the characters I would love to have as friends as we navigated our new normal after COVID19. I almost relived the first time I heard about this virus as I read about Frances and the text she received. It was hard at times, and this difficultly is portrayed here as well. Considering the Pandemic is still very much part of my everyday life, it was nice to see someone else's perspective as Frances and her friends' journey through this as well. I loved it!...more
