From disaster to redemption, “He’s So Into You” is Roxy Wilson’s debut novel.
Jordon Cooper boards a plane for Trinidad with his fiancé who’s an enigmatic and spirited woman, except when it comes to flying. His reassurances and determination to take her to Carnival are a one-way ticket to loss.
Jordon wakes up to find he’s the lone survivor of a plane crash. Five years pass, and his body heals, but not the guilt he carries losing his fiancé. A cousin thinks it’s time for Jordon to join the dating world again, and a blind date with Raina might be the best thing that ever happened to him. Raina isn’t without her woes, but she’s on the mend from her last crushing relationship and willing to try again.
The broken parts of Jordon and Raina are quite different, but their chemistry works. Both character’s flaws and hurdles are believable. Desire leads them to the bed sheets, and the mix of dialogue and heat is fairly well done, but not truly gripping. Readers will be cheering for Raina’s strength to stand on her own feet and the accomplishments she’s made. Jordon’s openness to not dwell in his loss, and help Raina see she’s a sexy woman, proves what a sexy caring kind of guy he is. The antagonists in this short novella are the character’s barriers. Readers will appreciate this full-bodied novella where a healing trust promises a bright future. ...more

One day as she’s running late she bumps into him as he’s exiting the shop and she spills his coffee all over his shirt. Flustered and embarrassed she offers to buy him another coffee, but he says one word, ‘Dinner.’ So begins William’s courtship of Aubrey, a woman he wants as his submissive, a woman he believes needs the freedom of being his submissive in order to heal her past hurts and a woman he wants for all time. Aubrey, with her father’s voice berating her in her head, isn’t nearly as confident, but she’s willing to find out what being a submissive to a man like William truly means.
Whether one is simply curious or is searching for something just out of reach, every person who decides to investigate BDSM begins the journey for different reasons and with different expectations. Some proceed alone, learning as they go, and some have a mentor to show the way. Aubrey is a broken soul, but William sees in her the potential that she can’t yet see for herself. He guides her slowly on her journey with tenderness and confidence yet with a stern firmness that brooks no arguments. Aubrey, despite her verbally abusive past, begins to blossom under his attention. Her journey is heart-breaking, heart-warming and beautiful to watch as the reader experiences everything along with her.
A wonderful look into one woman’s quest for confidence through submission! ...more

She wanted to get away to the city and away from what she felt was a trapped life in a small town. She felt Jake didn’t understand her need so after she graduated high school she packed up and left without saying goodbye. Jake was heartbroken, but went on to college dating every girl that was Danny’s opposite leaving a trail of broken hearts before finally marrying Cheyenne, a classmate that Danny hated. Seven years later, after losing her job, her boyfriend and her apartment, Danny’s back to live with her parents while she looks for work. She and Jake are still hung up on each other, but can Jake forgive her for leaving and can they start over?
Life in a small ranching town is well portrayed in this steamy read. The alternating points of view between Danny and Jake also give the reader a good sense of their characters and one can only cheer them on as they build a new relationship. However, the balance between plot and sex tips a bit too far on the sex side. What this story needed was a little more plot that didn’t involve Danny lying to Jake and sneaking around like the juvenile she should have outgrown. It made her quite unlikeable at one point which was exasperating. The ending was satisfying and overall this story was an enjoyable read. ...more

She heads for the vacation beach house she shares with a group of college friends on Tryst Island, just off the coast of Washington State. Upon arrival, she finds that her college crush, Cameron Jackson, is also staying for the weekend. Even better, he is recently single and seems determined to get Kristi into his bed! Kristi quickly finds that sex between them is amazing, but she wants more than just a weekend fling with Cam. Is he willing to give her his heart as well as his body?
This is a fun, quick read which does not skimp on steamy action between the sheets (or on the pool table)! The camaraderie among the group of friends feels genuine, and Kristi and Cam are likeable characters. Kristi, especially, is strong and sassy and not afraid to stand up for herself or put someone in their place if needed, be it a good friend or her jerk of an ex-boyfriend. The sex between the main couple is lusty and energetic, occurring almost immediately, and a bit of a wait to build more sexual tension would have been nice, but immediate gratification works, too! Biggest complaint is that it’s too short! However, more novellas set on Tryst Island are in the works, and this is a good introduction to the series as well as a pleasurable beach read to get one in the mood for summer. ...more

He meets alluring Vanessa who is shocked once she feels a hankering desire for him, but learns of the wager and feels betrayed. Is Hephaestus ready to accept the fact that he's destined to spend his immortality alone?
Luc has confessed that poetry and ancient Greek literature intrigue her and the idea of adding these interests to an erotic romance is genius! The sub-genres compliment each other magnificently and the author's modern interpretation of the Greek gods is refreshing. Readers obtain an up close and personal invitation to witness the growth of our hero, Hephaestus, which is enjoyable and gratifying. Let's not forget the highly detailed and explosive love scenes that will have fans of romance jumping into a cold shower just to escape the sudden rise of temperature in the room when Hephaestus and the heroine finally get to consummate their love.
The Wager is a humorous, raunchy and thought provoking paranormal which proves to be a fabulous introduction to the series!...more

She left right out of high school - running from an abusive childhood and a break up with her high school boyfriend - and has never looked back. After eleven years away she finds herself returning for her best friend's wedding. Not expecting to see her ex, Jake, the minute she hits town, she finds him standing on HER front porch....living in HER house.
Jake, a professional baseball player, returned to Patience with a career-ending knee injury. Renting Anna’s house without her knowledge and making repairs has helped ease his mind, but now, Anna wants him out so she can sell it and move on. Having never forgotten Anna, Jake makes her a proposition: if she will go on three dates with him, he will move out. Will Anna be able to keep things platonic when she has never stopped loving Jake?
Ms. Simpkins puts a lot of interesting layers into her characters. Anna is a strong yet vulnerable woman who has come home to deal with her inner demons. Jake is the quintessential yummy hero, who has demons of his own to fight. They are both like an onion, one just has to peel one layer at a time, to see their true character. Even though Anna has suffered abuse as a child, Ms. Simpkins makes one understand what she went through without the gory details. This story takes a little too long to get where it’s going but is still worth the read. It makes one realize that not only is Patience a virtue, so is forgiveness! ...more
