I think that most people who love/loved the DOAWK books would have agreed with the fact that Greg is an insecure sociopath who definitely doesn't have the best morals. I'm not critiquing Greg's personality; In my opinion, that's what gives the series its charm. Glad I stumbled upon this book, made me laugh....more

Needless to say, I loved Chalice of The Gods, but this book, not as much. Despite it being a whimsical, fun read, I have a few things to say.
Obviously, the sole purpose of this was to bring attention to the TV series, but disregarding that, it's still not great. There were so many pop culture references, which, although enjoyable, make the book seem dated. I wouldn't have a huge problem with this, but most books in the PJO series are meant to feel somewhat timeless. Speaking of time, I'm still a bit confused as to when this takes place. There are mentions of Leo, Jason, and Piper, but Percy doesn't mention Leo's "death", so was this before Blood of Olympus?...more
