An Imperishable Promise: If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come To Me? by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo is a unique love story that is narrated as a part of a flashback by a secondary yet important character and the story takes quite unexpected turns as it unfolds keeping the readers engaged at all times.
I liked the concept of the book and the storyline. The characters were good but needed a bit more development as I couldn't feel a strong connection to them. Although their emotions did come through beautifully despite the problems with the flow of the writing, the narration delivered the emotions quite well. There was more telling than showing, but the good plot more than made up for it and the weak characterisation.
Overall, the book was unique, enjoyable and pretty thought-provoking. And I would recommend it to all contemporary romance readers. _____________________ You can also read this review at www.thereadingbud.com...more

I liked this book from tKai's Healing Smiles by Vivi Anne Hunt is a heart-warming romantic story that is full of emotional depth as well as character.
I liked this book from the start because, in spite of having started on a glum note, the author's writing made this book an easy read and the character development kept me engaged. The plot kept developing well and soon I found myself not wanting to be pulled away from the story.
I liked the plot, the basic concept as well as its execution, the simple yet effective writing and the ups and downs the pacing added to the tension in the book. Overall, it is a lovely romance novel that I'd recommend to all romance genre fans especially readers who enjoy reading LGBTQ+ romance stories. __________________________

Falling For The Competition by Jen Smith is a new un-put-down-able YA romance.
This book is well-written with a great plot that kept me engaged right from the first page to the very last one. I was able to relate to the characters, both the main ones as well as the secondary ones and was able to form a strong connection with the main lead, Quinn. This book is as interesting as it is entertaining. There wasn't a single chapter where I felt bored or unfocused and that was a blessing as most YA books tend to do it (at least to me.) So I am really thankful to the author for the great pacing and tremendous tension throughout the book.
I would highly recommend this book to all YA and romance readers.

Cenotaphs by Rich Marcello is a beautifully written book about platonic love. It is an unusual love story about a retiree and a girl who is decades younger than him.
The characterisation was brilliant and helped me feel a strong connection to the main characters, Ben and Samantha. The writing was great and complimented the story beautifully. The concept is unique and engaging and the execution of the plot was flawless.
I'd highly suggest this book to all readers, especially those who like a well-written love story that goes way beyond the normal conventions and explores the depth of characters' emotions.

The Billionaire's Secret by Ravina Hillard is a contemporary romance thriller with good action, nice plot and some decent steamy bits.
Lately, I've been exploring the romance genre a bit, aside from my usual gothic dark reads and the contrast is refreshing to me as a reader as well as a writer. This book had good writing and that was the main reason I was drawn to it. The plot is a bit full of cliches and common tropes of the genre, but as I always say, when done well, even the common tropes become interesting.
I liked the cast of characters in this book. I rooted for both, Serena as well as Matias, and was glad that I read this book. I'd definitely recommend it to romance readers and to those people who like to read lighter thrillers....more

It's not my usual go-to genre, but it made for a good distraction from my normal picks.
Although the book wasn't an overly thrilling read, it made for a nice entertainer. The story was good and interesting and the idea of the female being the undercover bodyguard appealed to me the most about its plot. The characters were not very relatable but then I was not expecting them to be (I rarely expect it from romances, unless they've been written by the big authors who are good at what they do.) The writing though was good and that's what made me read this book in the first place.
I'd recommend this book to romance and new adult genre readers and to those looking for a new entertaining read....more

Even though the story was full of over-used romance tropes and cliche moments, the characterisation felt vibrant and fresh which totally made up for both these flaws.
The writing was good and it was one of the things I liked the most about the book. The pacing was great as the things moved quickly and made this book a quick 1-2 day read which seems reasonable to me.
I'd recommend this book to all the romance genre lovers and to those who are looking for a light, fun read to take a break from their normal reading lists.

The book started out at a steady pace, but before I knew it I was so engrossed in the plot that I found it difficult to put it down even to make a cup of coffee! This book is one of those books that gives you a feel-good feeling about the story and makes the time go by in the blink of an eye. I enjoyed reading this book thoroughly and found myself chuckling quite often owing to the author's witty, sarcastic and intelligent\remarks. I've previously read Hearts Unloched by the author and loved her writing style, but this book was even better and I found the writing style even more engrossing. I'm really looking forward to reading her next releases.
I loved the characterization and was able to connect to the main character, Lannie. Even though I rarely read books about characters above 30 years of age, this book proved to be a pleasant experience. I also loved the other secondary characters and enjoyed the background stories of them all. The ending of the story was perfect too.
I'd recommend this book to all the romance and chick-lit lovers and also to those who won't mind reading a warm funny read.

Plot/Story: Neverland is a fairytale retelling of Peterpan and as far as I'm concerned this is the best book I've read so far in the fantasy genre. It has a dreamlike imagery which will leave you craving and begging for more. The pace of the story was perfect, not too fast, not too slow. I was able to not only read the story in front of me but was also able to live it forgetting everything around me. This book is literally unputdownable and I love it so much that it has made its place at the top of my all-time favorites! I've already read it twice now and I'll be re-reading it again soon.
In one word it is:

Characters: I absolutely adore the lead characters of Livy and Meyer, so much so that I guess I'm in love with Meyer! The relationship between Livy and Meyer developed slowly and beautifully. The vulnerability of Livy added more depth to each and every aspect of the story. I wanted to cry when Livy felt hurt and wanted to do a happy dance whenever she got a positive response from Meyer. I even blushed a dozen times while reading about Livy and Meyer's small interactions.
Romance: The beautiful budding romance between Livy and Meyer was nothing less than magical. It was slow and cute love that started as an odd friendship but developed into something more special. The thing that made their relationship so magical is the subtlety of feelings beautifully expressed by the author.
Writing: Shari Arnold's writing style is so simple that it flows smoothly throughout the book. I enjoyed reading this book mainly because of the uncomplicated writing style. I didn't just read this book, but I was really able to live it (and that's something.)
Beginning: The book started beautifully with Livy reading Peter Pan for children in a hospital. How can anyone not get emotionally involved right from the start with this kind of a start! I was swept right off my feet from the very first page. And as the story progressed I lost myself completely in the beautiful world of Livy and Meyer.
Ending: Ahh... the ending. At first, I was like:

But then after a few minutes, I thought about it and realized that it was for the best and that the ending couldn't have been better. Yes, it wasn't a straight out happy one, but it was realistic and, more importantly, acceptable. After being swept off by this story I really dreaded to know the end, but the author, Shari Arnold, really surprised me with a well-balanced ending.
And then I was like:

Cover Art: The cover art of this book is simply awesome. The colors are so pretty and subtle and the minimalistic design makes it a great cover.
Blurb: The blurb is perfect and gives a fair idea of what to expect from the book. I picked it up from NetGalley after reading the blurb itself, so yeah, it totally worked for me, and I'm sure it'll definitely get anyone else's attention as well!

PLOT | STORY See Her Run is a lovely romance novNote: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher via NetGalley.
PLOT | STORY See Her Run is a lovely romance novel that’ll quench your thirst for a subtle and clean romance book without any trace of meaningless lust. I loved the way the story progressed and it’s steady pace, not too fast and not too slow. I throughly enjoyed the little bits of suspense that the author gracefully maintained throughout the book, it kept me turning page after page, and really made it hard for me to put it down even for the night. The overall story is dramatically unique but the way it’s written and the pace with which small-small things happen really made it very enjoyable. As a sucker for romance novels, i had a great time reading this one. The plot is simple while maintaining tidbits of suspense here and there. You’ll be asking a lot of whys in this book but thankfully the author has explained each and everything and that too at the right time, keeping the reader interest all the time.
CHARACTERS I loved all the characters, specially the leads Diana and Jonathan. Being an abused wife, the characteristics of Diana are well thought of. Her expressions and reactions show her vulnerability in a heart chilling way but at the same time she is also shown as determined and strong willed, trying to get over her past. Jonathan is a perfect guy that every girl dreams of. He is gentle, honest, polite and really patient. He treats everyone with love and is a real stud. I even liked the antagonist’s character, Russ, because it is creatively crafted. It really makes the reader hate Russ inspite of having a dozen of chapters from his POV (which is generally doesn’t happen.) I love to be able to hate the villain but at the same time I love understanding his mentality. In this book, the author fulfilled both the things beautifully.
ROMANCE This book’s main theme being romance, it had loads of it. This is one of those rare books which does not have senseless sex. The love between Diana and Jonathan is pure and true. It develops ever so subtly and blossoms beautifully into a matured relationship. Jonathan is a perfect gentleman and treats Diana (in her bad physical state) respectfully and that is the best part in the book.
WRITING Initially I had a bit of a problem getting in sync with the writing but that obstacle was easily overcome after a few pages. And once I got comfortable with the writing I actually started to enjoy it a lot. The lil’ expressions that the author used or the monosyllables that spoke tons… I loved it all.
BEGINNING Begininning was quite full of suspense the first scene being Diana relocating to yet another place for safety. It instantly roused my curiosity as to what happened to her, why is she running, whom is she running from, why is she so scared, etc… In the beginning I had a bit of a problem in getting into the story because of author’s writing style (which is quite different from what I’m generally used to) but after a few pages I started liking it and by the 1st quarter of the book, I was in love with it.
ENDING The ending was really intense but, like most romance novels, quite predictable. I’m not complaining as romance novels rarely have unique endings. Though despite of the predictability what really interested me was it’s intensity. It made me quite anxious towards the end when the protagonist, Russ, gets to know Diana’s whereabouts.
BLURB It’s totally appropriate. It explains the gist of the book perfectly without giving away anything major.
COVER ART I love it as it has a special meaning. The two roses are the ones which have a special place in the story of Diana and Jon’s romance. Even the name of the book is really meaningful and suits the book perfectly. After reading the book you’ll understand the significance of both, the cover and the title.

Anastasia is a good witch who has the power to heal, but the cost she has to pay everytime she heals is very high. She takes the pain of others and experience it herself in order to relieve them. She is highly sensitive to emotions and cannot stand negative ones due to her fragile heart and her susceptible magic! After facing the pain of rejection from her love, she starts taking comfort in a life of solitude, with only her family as a source of love. She was happy in her life. Boone Sawyer buys the house next to Ana and settles there with his daughter, Jessi and her pup. He sees Ana and starts experiencing something that hasn’t happened to him in his life before, true love! He starts falling for Ana and vice-versa. Jessi and Ana also love each other. So the only thing that’s stopping Ana to accept a proposal from Boone is her Legacy, that is magic! Though Boone is a writer of children’s books, fairy-tales and stuff, Ana knows that accepting the fact that she is a witch won’t be easy for him, or for that matter for anyone! Read the book to know how he’ll accept this truth or whether he does or not! This book has a lot of romance, magic, love, healing, faith and belief. What is not there to like! And I’m very eager to read the fourth part.
[Yea, I know, I wrote the synopsis under 'positives'! That itself is the best part of the book (no-pun intended!)]
Negatives The last 25 pages were a bit of a slog.

This book gives us the details of her marriage and divorce and also her hardships in coping with her life as a single parent. We get to know more about Kate and Margo, and it really felt nice to know that they are really happy in their lives.
Michael Fury is this stud guy, who obviously sways Laura Tempelton off her feet (it takes a bit of time but eventually this is what happens). This character, I must say, is very cleverly developed!

It really didn’t let me sleep peacefully as the entire time I was concerned about what’s going to happen to Ira.
The letters that Ira wrote for Ruth were so emotional that despite my efforts of controlling my emotions, but I gave in when I read the last letter that Sophia reads out to him. The way its written will surely make you feel the undying love that Ira felt for Ruth. Also the letter that Ruth wrote to Ira before she died was very emotional. I loved both the stories equally and also the end. It was a happy ending in true sense.
The Longest Ride has a a lot of meanings in respect to the book, but for me The Longest Ride for Ira was his life as he happens to mention and for Luke it was riding Big Ugly Critter.
I especially love this book because it really made me wonder that after living such a happy life together with your spouse, in the end when one out of the two of you remains, how painful it would be and trust me even after dying, I guess, you really can’t be at peace seeing your other half struggle!
