After watching her father murder her mother, Blair was institutionalized and never spoke again. Ten years later she sets out to somehow set the record straight. With her head in a bad space and her body and mind reacting from coming off the drugs she has been kept on, she’s not sure if the man that enters the house at night is a figment of her imagination and dreams or the real thing. Add in the bearded, tattooed biker that has insinuated himself into her days and she’s in a whirl of emotions.
Brede needs one last job to help his foster parents out and set him up for retirement. He doesn’t usually take out women but it’s the only thing available and he needs the money. But when his target challenges him by sitting her innocent self on his bike and refusing to move, he’s suddenly thinking that he can buy a little time before the hit.

This is one hot steamy read with characters that each have their own secrets, some of them we know and some won’t be revealed for a while yet. I thought I knew what was going on but as the author slowly drops little clues I realized I didn’t know a thing. There’s a lot going on here and in the middle of it all is Blair and her secret. One that has kept her from speaking for a decade.
This has a great pace to it with a shade of dark as well as some of the steamiest scenes I’ve read in a while. While some of the smexy times have an element or two that I’m not a fan of, I absolutely know others are getting to gobble them up. This ends in a huge cliffhanger and I don’t have a clue how things are going to play out.

This was quite a wild ride and one I won’t soon forget. These characters kept me captivated as they navigate relationships, their pasts, and their need for not only justice but for revenge. Filled with a lot of twists and turns, as well as some serious sizzling scenes, I couldn’t put this one down.
There is a bit of character inconsistency with the hero regarding a decision he made that had me shaking my head a bit, but it wasn’t nearly enough to interfere with my determination to find out if and how these characters found their happy ever after or what that was going to look like.
Ultimately, this ends in the best possible way with a look into the future which included marriage, babies and a satisfying taste of revenge.

It’When Elle sets out to go undercover in a dark, dangerous world to find her missing friend, she doesn’t have a clue what she’s really walking into. It’s a world of men and women who have been altered to become killers without conscious or remorse…or even memory.
Ghost is fighting against the drug that turned him into a monster. But it’s not as easy as going cold turkey and the process requires a slow reduction of the drug itself. As a result, he stills see the blood and feels the drip and he must use everything within himself to win the battle against himself.
But when Elle his hired on at La Salon, he immediately knows that something isn’t right. This isn’t the first time he’s seen her. Add in her complete change in appearance as well as his instant attraction to her and he isn’t trusting her at all.
I absolutely loved this book with all its ups and downs regarding the drug and the steps Julian had to go through in an effort to rid himself of its shackles. Even as he’s dealing with that and all the drama surrounding the demands put on him and team from the man in charge, he’s falling for a woman he shouldn’t trust.
”She should be none of my business, but the moment Kyle or Shadow touch her, there’s this urge to break their wrists. I shouldn’t be thinking about hurting my best friend or my godson for a woman.”
Elle was fiercely independent and capable of providing her own safety, but when she begins to yield to the strength found in Julian’s arms, she realizes that it’s okay to lean on someone else at times. I loved how that slow realization took shape with her and her ultimate reaction to it.
Julian is a dark anti-hero that was pretty scary. But once he allowed himself to take Elle, he was all in and she was all his. His mentality was “Mine” as well as filled with possession, jealousy and a deep seated need to protect.
”Drops of blood drip in my head. The need to kill mixes with an unfamiliar feeling and shoots through my veins. The mere thought of those f—kers putting their hands on her causes my pulse to spike with one need: kill.”
This was a pretty great read and I was fascinated from the very beginning. I ate this up as quickly as life would allow me and I hated when it ended, although it has some previous books as well as more to come. Still, I loved these particular characters and their dynamics and chemistry so much I wanted more.

With no social graces, he doesn’t like people and refuses to interact with anyone, even the clients who hire him and his ship out. When a storm rises up in the night, and he’s totally wasted, he finds he’s the last person on the ship and all that’s left for him is a safety raft. And then he spies a body in the water.
Bastian tries to prepare Raine to survive on the raft during the few days his body will be forced to detox. He constantly snaps and snarls at her, being unnecessarily cruel. While I understood the reasons he was behaving that way, some of that attitude continued even after he was dried out. I didn’t blame Raine for being afraid of him and her responses showed that she was.
I wasn’t a fan of some of the things Bastian said and did, but due to this being written completely in his point of view, I actually liked him. He had a gawd awful past and my heart hurt for him. When he gives in to his feelings for Raine it was quite a sight. He wanted nothing more than to protect her. He became obsessed with her and the life they had made on the island. There is some drama that sent him right over the edge and holy heck, my mind hurt from all the turmoil and darkness that ran through his.
Raine was quite submissive to his cruel and overbearing ways in the beginning but she slowly begins to stand up to him. She eventually figures out how to handle him and his cranky ways and I loved seeing her become strong.
This is a relatively fast read, and the pace is solid, constantly moving. The steam is sizzling and while there are some secondary characters they do not control the story. Overall, I enjoyed this read but was extremely disappointed at the ending as this continued into another book. I loved seeing Raine and Bastian on the island and I’m reluctant to read the next book for fear it won’t live up to this one. Not sure if I want to see Bastian and his reactions to the world.

But as the story progressed I actually got pulled into the characters and all their quirky, overbearing, fun and sexy ways. The heroine was somewhat annoying in her back and forth/push and pull and judgy ways regarding the club. Zak was freaking amazing! Loved his alpha goodness, totally jealous, possessive and protective. He checked all my boxes.
This has a good bit of club life and drama, including a woman coming on to the hero and him not saying anything about the heroine, and plenty of grunting alpha biker talk. Although this was a happy for now, the ending was rushed and felt incomplete which I guess will be continued in the next books.
I ended up actually enjoying it but was disappointed by the lack of a completed ending. This would've been a 4 star read had it not been for that and the heroine. I may continue on just for more of the alpha talk/attitude.

I was unsure what Tanner and his friends were up to so I kept slowly peeking around corners, scared but excited about what I’d see, and then loving everything that was revealed to me but most importantly, the way it was revealed.
I loved the way Ms. White wrote this with a dark, twisted tone to it while introducing me to a very real heroine, Luca. My heart was in my throat so many times. I never knew what was going to happen. Luca was awesome! While she was uncertain and a bit fearful in the beginning, it doesn’t take her long to find strength within herself and soon her fierce independence is shining through. The way she handled Tanner was perfection and I loved everything about her.
Tanner was an amazing alpha anti-hero. I was never sure just exactly what his motivation was or what side of the law he stood on. He kept me guessing through much of the book and despite not knowing what despicable thing he might do next, I was falling in love with him. Tanner was totally possessive and jealous over Luca. The fact that he was the puppet master and he had completely fallen for this southern book nerd, made my heart leap with joy.
This was the perfect beginning for the series with so much steam and intrigue I’m already ready for the next book! I’m excited about what this author has in store for the rest of the guys in the Inferno and the women they’ll do battle with. I suspect we’re going to have a wild ride ahead of us!

Libby has a job to do but falling for the bad guy wasn’t a part of it. Lure him, entice him, and learn his secrets were what she was supposed to do but soon she’s in too deep and her life is changed forever due to her decisions.
This has an exciting beginning that takes place in the present before taking the reader back three years ago to when Libby and Hendrix first meet. I loved the chase that Libby took him on and the fact that he never thought twice about following. There was definitely a time or two that proved Hendrix was far from a nice guy but it also proved he would do anything for her.
When her secret comes to the surface, I was shocked at the things he did in reaction. Some of it really bothered me but at least part of it was later explained even though that action did not have the un-affect he thought it would. Returning to the present I expected him to still be carrying the need for revenge he had on that fateful night three years ago. Instead the roles were reversed and he was begging for forgiveness. I felt like they both had explanations as well as groveling to do.
This has a very strong beginning but did lose a bit of its shine when we are bounced back to the present. Nevertheless, this author set us up for a wild ride with some twists that I never saw coming. It’s got a fast pace that kept me engaged. The chemistry between Hendrix and Libby was hot and completely believable. Overall, I enjoyed it and would like to see more from Hendrix’s buddies Van and Sawyer.

This booShould I say “Holy Hades!” or “Oh my god!” because we’re talking about War here and while he’s a heavenly sent creation, he is after all, war.
This book starts a bit slower than Pestilence, but once it hits its stride it’s a horror filled, drama rich, emotional read. I was expecting this to be a copycat of book one, but it is far from that. With an engaging, if often times troubling, plot and characters that are uniquely developed, I was drawn into this story to the point I didn’t want to stop when real life interfered.
Miriam, the heroine, was fierce and capable in a world where survival is the strategy for each day. When War and his army descend upon her town she engages with the enemy in what will surely be a futile attempt to defeat them. But when her failed attempt to kill the warlord brings his attention to her personally, the last thing she expects is him to claim her as wife.
What follows is not only the horrors of war, but some that were never even on my radar. War’s actions did nothing to help me fall in love with him, but his evolution from a creature designed for killing into a man who would do anything to save his wife left me no choice but to do so. Just trying to find words to describe this hero is impossible. He’s so much more than words on a page. This author created this hero to such a degree that he would never fit into a neatly defined checkbox.
While this is War’s story, this is actually Miriam’s tale. She is the type of kick butt heroine many of us love, but she’s very real in the way she reacts to what’s happening around her. Even as she plans her strategies, they are often not completely formed and while I’d never even consider some of the things she does, I totally related to her “not thinking things through”. Despite that glitch in her character, which I found charming, she is not a too stupid to live heroine. Just the opposite. She is real, she is relatable, she is exactly what I would want to be if, god forbid, I should ever find myself in the heart of the apocalypse as she does.
Together, this couple kept me glued to the pages of my Kindle. The romantic angle of this story isn’t in your face. It’s a subtle change in the characters reactions, thoughts, emotions and beliefs. While we don’t get War’s point of view, it’s apparent his war-hardened heart softens towards Miriam and we are never in doubt as to where his emotions lay, even if those emotions are murky at times.
This is a story rife with brutality, scenes that will make you cringe, decisions that will have you shaking your head, and surprises that will make you gasp out loud. And at the heart of it all is War and Miriam, a battle between two people who are polar opposites, and the demand for surrender.
This is book 2 in the series, but other than a tiny spoiler that really gives nothing away at the end, I believe this can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend you read Pestilence because it’s just so good and then once you recover, dig into this one and hold on for a wicked ride.

I enjoy a dark read at times and this one was just what I needed, when I needed it. I absolutely loved Sebastian, despite him being psychotic. And I especially loved his dad for his understanding ways and the fact that he put everything he had into helping him learn how to appear to be “normal”. Because of his dad, Sebastian was able to eventually recognize what he needed to do about Camille.
A hero that will do anything to have and keep his woman is going to steal my heart and Sebastian was that hero. There were so many times I was swept into his darkness and never knew how far he was going to take it but he always pulled me through those times with his determination to win Camille over. Camille wasn’t a doormat either. She stood up to him even when she was the most afraid of him and learned how to control some of his more psychotic moments. I actually loved those times the most. With each of their “deals” I just knew it was going to mean trouble…in the most delicious ways even if Sebastian’s inability to feel emotions could bring about a darker outcome.
While a lot of dark reads can cross over lines, this one never did. That actually made this for a more pleasant read. That relationship Sebastian had with his dad? I wanted them to mean something and the fact that those lines were never crossed proved that despite his sociopathic diagnosis, at the very heart of him he wasn’t completely lost to the darkness.
This is a lengthier book but had a great pace to it. It never bogged down, one my biggest pet peeves, and it flowed smoothly from one moment to the next. I couldn’t read it fast enough. When I reached the end I wanted so much more and was thrilled that the author offered a bonus chapter. And in that chapter…we realize that while Camille may have tamed a part of Sebastian, he is still very much a sociopath. Swoon!
P.S. Lots of jealous possessive moments here!

Asher fell in love with Poppy the first moment he laid eyes on her.
’The woman has completely taken over my mind and there’s not a [darn] thing I can do to stop it. Not that I want to. Poppy’s mine, she just hasn’t been made aware of it yet.’
For the last year he’s been stalking her relentlessly. As a hacker, he has managed to get into every part of her life as well as placing cameras throughout her home. Initially, he did it because he wanted her but was unable to take the steps to make her his. Now that the time is here, he finds himself addicted to it.
Poppy isn’t aware of the stranger standing in the shadows outside her window or of the extreme violation of privacy he has taken to procure all knowledge of her. But when she begins to receive text messages from an unknown number, instead of being afraid, she’s intrigued as well as turned on. However, learning who Sterling is doesn’t bring a happy ending. It upends her life and opens the door for a new stalker who wants to see her dead.
This is a bit dark and creepy but I do love a stalker-like hero but perhaps not quite as stalkerish as Asher. He was completely over the top in every way. The length of the book and the darker feel to the stalking kept his over the top actions from feeling cheesy. I have to admit, I loved that he went after what he wanted even as he realized that his actions were going to eventually cost him.
’I may have taken her privacy away, but it’s her that hold my future in her hands. It’s her that can completely destroy me with just a snap of her fingers.’
His determination to have Poppy was unwavering. Even if he physically lost her as a consequence of his decisions he would love her forever.
This is a lengthier book and I have to admit I kind of skimmed some of the smexy times…of which there are plenty and they are all scorching. There is no doubt this couple share an intense chemistry but I did feel that there weren’t enough moments for them to connect on an emotional level as everything did seem to be sexually motivated. I loved Con, despite (maybe because of) what he did. He’s a great anti-hero, designed to check all my boxes yet never crossing my lines. Once he saw Charlie, that was it for him. He stalked her and desired her but never made a move to enter into her life. Once she does get thrust into his world, he is super protective, possessive and all out perfect. Well, except that he’s a killer. But hey, no one’s perfect.
Charlie was quite a surprise to me. The more I got to know her, the more I loved her. She might not be your typical kick tail heroine, but she was more than capable of taking care of herself when needed...and Con as well.
This had a fast start and continued to move quickly. While there isn’t a mystery here, there is a lot of action and it serves to highlight even more about this couple, individually and together. Add in one of Con’s co-workers and we not only had the addition of humor, but so much more awesomeness that I’ve got to check and make sure he has a book as well.

While everything about this is filled with intrigue and danger, violence and confused emotions, it’s all leading you to this ending that is going to leave you dry mouthed and in absolute shock. I have grown so invested that by the time I reach the last portion of this book I found myself crying and then reading in horror which quickly turned to pain. In other words, this whole story is leading you up to this ending and it’s a wild a crazy ride.

This book immediately pulled me in and held me, sometimes by the throat. There is so much here and all of it written in such a way that I felt as if I too were a part of this world along with Serenity. She is one hardcore heroine, raised out of necessity to be a soldier, trained to become emissary upon the death of her father. Her world is a dark and despairing place with little to no hope. And now her country is depending on her to negotiate peace with the man who is responsible for all the destruction she has borne witness to.
This story starts out fast and it never slows down. The romance here is heavily laced with action and political intrigue which resulted in a pulse pounding experience. Martes, the king, is such a multi-dimensional character. While I knew exactly what and who Serenity was, I hungered to know more about the king. We are given bits of his thoughts and through them it was apparent he was so much more than what is seen on the surface. My romantic heart thrilled at his almost instant want of the heroine, at his protectiveness of her. And yet, I screamed along with Serenity when truths about him were brought into the light. In the midst of all the turmoil was her feelings towards him which are muddled and confused. I sympathized with her completely.
This ends on one doozy of a cliffhanger. With some of Martes’ secrets revealed, there are still so many more things that these characters must find solutions for. Fortunately, all the books in this trilogy are now available and will be diving into book 2 immediately.

This was a fast ride into some dark territory. The heroine grew up with darkness, lives her life in darkness and has now become responsible for an event that is going to pull her even further into it. I enjoyed both the hero and heroine. More so than I did than those in the first series, Twist Me. The hero was completely consumed with having her and keeping her. He was jealous and possessive, There were a few moments were things were a bit dubious but I felt it was less so here than in TM.
Bind Me:
Things really heat up here when Lucas finally has possession of Yulia. This is where things tend to get a bit sketchy in regards to dubious consent. There are layers upon layers being revealed as the story moves forward even as it begins to build upon itself. I’m not sure I can even predict where this is going to go.
