I would have rated it higher, but the battle scenes in the last few chapters are choppy; and the Big Reveal was easily spotted earlier. It turns out that his widow published this early, previously, unpublished book, thus its release post mortem. As a book, I could not read more than a chapter. As a book, I can not devote to my time continuing with it. However, as a look into the mind of RJ before Wheel Of Time was written, it may be worthwhile. You can see the early formation of some of his WOT characters in Warrior of the Altaii, as well the world he created in WOT. I think that RJ is a cornerstone of Fant, and deserves accolades. ...more
