I have no regret in deciding to pick up this book as soon as possible (as I was in a sickeningly sweet romance craving).
This is the book. An alarmingly sweet and cute romance book that will just melt your heart and give you diabetes at the same time. I would say that this is not only a romance book but this is also a book about a person's journey on healing and becoming better, and let me tell you that this book beautifully depicted that.
The writing was awesome, it was also my favorite go-to so I enjoyed it a lot. It's a dual POV from Cal and Grace, which was awesomely written because both POV were some times funny, some times sad, some times sweet and cute. There weren't any turn-offs too, like a cringey words or words/action that repeatedly used. It was clean if may be honest! Great job for the author!
The characters were amazing. Grace is such a sweetheart and a wonderful woman. Cal is caring and sweet yet could be very much as hot as the devil. Maddie is a cutie and a princess. Everyone was greatly written! Even Pete and Larissa. No one appeared painted too much, not a single on give me a cringey or annoying vibe from this book.
The plot and flow was great! I love that we have two POVs here and each POV has their own resolve process with their own problems. Each MC has their own healing journey so even though the book was basically titled Grace but this was also a book about Cal. I love the story flow, how the author carry the conflict and everything was in a perfect pace for me, it wasn't boringly dragging and annoyingly too fast. The romance and the slowburn are just to die for!
Recommended for everyone whose in the need of sweet and cute romance!

The plot? Hit me like a fucking truck, I didn't see it. GAAAH The characters? As well developed and written as in book one, I couldn't get over how cute and adorable Fisher turned out. GAAAH The angst? Annihilated me. GAAAH The romance? It was stinking cute and made me grin like a fucking idiot. GAAAH
It was fucking awesome how I could see the big contrast between the first book and the second book. I was mesmerized by the fmc because tbh I didn't really like her in the first book. JEA is so fucking awesome for making her characters so living! And my jaw was on the floor when I saw we have Fisher's POV in the epilogue and fuck I shed a tear ...more
It's been a while since I read a really cute and heart-fluttering romance the kind of romance that makes yGosh- this book was just pure bliss for me.
It's been a while since I read a really cute and heart-fluttering romance the kind of romance that makes you kicking both of your legs to the air due to how stinking cute both mc are
But sadly, this book kinda lack something for me. It's the way that the conflict layout in the book and how it ended pretty abruptly near the end, and it almost felt like the graphic of tension in the book abruptly cut off and I couldn't get to see the end. I mean this is the first book of the Somerset series but I doubt I'll see Philly and Arthur a lot in the second book.
Other than the formula, I couldn't quite make myself understand for the plot twist near the end. Who the villain turned out to be didn't quite convincing to me that is this really how the book is turning out? Also the explanation on the plot twist near the end also lacking and once again I said that it wasn't compelling to me.
But I suppose I could set the two points I mentioned aside because the fact that I devoured this bookand found myself immensely enjoying both Arthur and Philly's relationship development made up for it ...more

2nd read
Honestly, I don't remember this book being tis sad and heartbreaking. I really cried when Amos and Rhodes ignored Ora after finding out her ex and when Rhodes told Ora they have found her mom's remaining. I fucking bawled.
This book remained to be my most favorite small town romance book. 2nd read and this book still got the magic I once felt when I first read it. 2nd read and I still undoubtedly in love with Tobias John Rhodes' character. Do I even need to review the whole technical things on this book? No, I don't think so. Because look at how perfect Rhodes and Ora is.
But most importantly, 2nd read and this book still making me feels a lot of different feelings throughout the book. It's just amazing. Perfect. I have no other words. I love this book so much and with my mushy heart I proudly announce that this book is my official comfort read and I swear with all of me to read this book yearly.
That's it. And if you happened to stumbled upon this review and the button besides the cover is still green, what are you waiting for? Press that shit and add this to your tbr list then pick this up right now....more
