That was pretty intense for a Cowboy romance. It's about the town's sheriff, Danny Oldman who saved his crush Skylar Long for being abused. They've known each other for a long time since she is Danny's high school crush but she left town. Apparently Skylar's boyfriend is abusive and she tries to escape him by going back to her hometown.
Danny will do everything to protect her and he's willing to risk his life for his love one. You know what's good in cowboy and small town romances? FOUND FAMILY. Damn everyone has a great teamwork and they got each other's back. I really enjoyed this one even if the story is quite dark....more

Trigger warning: kidnapping babies, death
The book truly lived up to the romantic suspense vibe. The heroine -- Marlee is a private investigator whose job is to track down the deaths of pregnant women and getting their babies sent to adoption. It's part of her mission to solve this case as her twin sister is one of the victims by this cruelty. Her search led on to Cooper's hometown to track the culprits.
The story dragged on and I was waiting for the action packed parts which is on the last 20% of the book. It's still good. ...more

We get to see the cats’ perspective and how they change their owners as a person. It’s lighthearted with depth at the same time. I love it because it was a pretty chill read. A good anti-stress and it’s so clever how pets also choose us.

The second novel of Heart of Texas series focuses on Brice Harper, Abby Harper's brother. He is mesmerized by the woman behind the camera, Naomi Pierce, who just returned the town to support her best friend Whitney, a Rodeo Queen.
Things got intense when Naomi's best friend got into trouble. Brice and Naomi worked together in order to protect Whitney. The story is really engaging and I am on the edge of my seat with all of the things happened here. The romance between the protagonists is good and not over the top. ...more

I love it so much! I swift thru the audiobook while I am studying and it's nice getting to know Tom Felton before, during and after the Harry Potter films. He's such a genuine guy telling his personal journey, acting career and his struggle for alcoholism.
Aside from these, it brings back all the memories from the cast of Harry Potter films and how he found a second family. He'll always cherish the memories with them especially those who passed away. The best part is the one he shared the keen friendship and love between him and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger). My heart cannot even contain these two are actually soul mates but never ended up together. He's really fond of her.
Enough of this raving, I recommend you listen to this as an audiobook. ...more

It's absolutely terrifying and I begin to question myself if everything I listened to is real or delusions. Most events gave me anxiety and I am on the edge of my seat.
Don't drink coffee. This book alone will give you palpitations. Just a friendly reminder. This is a perfect Halloween book if you want creepy stories. ...more

The book centers about the extrajudicial killings happened during President Duterte's administration. The rampant war on drugs in the Philippines caught attention all over the world.
Please be minded that this book is incredibly descriptive and you may need to take a deep breath. It has heavy themes about violence and murder.
Some people called this book an anti-Duterte. You're wrong. Patricia Evangelista's brutally honest take on this is incredibly descriptive. She never sugarcoated as the victims' families shared their side of story. About their grief, trauma and loss of their love ones. I find myself pausing once in a while because it's heart-wrenching. I rarely read nonfiction books and I like annotating on this one. I am loss of words for what I have just read....more

It appears this is a polarizing book and I'm one of those people who enjoyed it. My Roommate Is a Vampire is a lighthearted paranormal romantic comedy. It's a rare occasion to encounter a socially awkward vampire. Fredrick is very ancient that he could be best friends with Dracula but he's such a gentleman. I find myself laughing between him and his human roommate, Cassie. I love the way she teaches him about the modern century which is definitely out of his comfort zone.
I think the ending is anticlimactic but this isn't really a bad book. It's quite adorable and their conversations made me laugh. We stan a vampire loving Taylor Swift and Crash Landing on You....more

It’s something I can handle but it wasn’t truly a dark romance. It’s a romantic comedy overall.
You cannot just mixed two subgenres. Imagine being brutal then you are angelic afterwards. I can’t take them seriously. Sloane and Rowan truly lacked the chemistry for me. Since they’re both serial killers, I am surprised they didn’t kill each other. Instead they turned friends. I want more angst....more
