Reread-5 stars- yes I reread this only 10 days later, don’t judging me! This book is Everything and the audiobook is Pure Perfection (and since both are capitalized that means it’s true)
I will read this book so many times I can just see it in the future, and I’m not even mad about it.

If perfection could describe a book it would be this! I loved everything about this book, the audiobook made this. Michael Lesley is perfect for all the characters.
I don't know what is going on with me lately, I am not finding books I am in love with..
Anyways, this book had all the makings to be a 5 star 3 stars

Anyways, this book had all the makings to be a 5 star for me, but it just fell flat. I think that some of the things that Skye did after her and Colt got back together didn't feel in character for me. I think that she caved too easily also I didn't get a lot of the banter that we got on the opening scene. I wanted more of that jokester attitude from Colt and Skye.
Oh well can't have it all. I don't think I am going to continue the series, I didn't fully connect with the characters as much as I would have liked so I am not going to spend money on them... if it was KU, then it might be a different story.. not gunna apologize for being cheap haha. ...more

Jesus! The amount of pain these characters go through is heartbreaking.
BUT, I love Snow and Jude. UGH I loved them more than Lucas and Andrei.... hehe. I can't wait to read the rest of the series it is slowly but surely becoming a new addiction....more

Kirt Graves is one of my favorite narrators and this book didn’t disappoint. Seeing as it was a short one it only took me about 2 and a half hours to get through. But I liked it just as much as the first time. I can’t wait to read the second book which is coming out this upcoming Friday!

For my first book by this author it was really good! I loved Simon and Dalton. I wished we got more with the Relic Group, but I can tell if this becomes a series of standalones with the other characters I am going to thoroughly enjoy this. Even if we get another book with Simon and Dalton I wouldn't be mad about it.
It was a perfect mix of action, humor, and romance. I just wish it was longer, I could do with more backstory of the characters or some more interaction with other people, but those are such small nitpicky items.

Sweet 'lantis I am starting to get really tired of reading middle of the line books, it is driving me bonkers.
This book started out really well, the writing was great! The main issues I had were the fact that Ever literally didn't speak up for herself during the entire time she was living through this pain, and decided at one moment that when she met Declan (Deck) that it miraculously came out in word vomit everywhere she went.
I understand that she is a tough resilient girl, but dang listening to the same torment that she had to endure for years, even though that should never happen to anyone (feeling unwanted or unloved), got a little old.
That makes me sound heartless, and not gunna lie, I have been in a slump almost all of September I am starting to feel a little cold hearted at the moment.
The writing of this story was really good, I definitely will pick up another Christine Michelle again. I just hope it isn't as repetitive as this book, because daaaaaaaaang.
Another thing Ever and Deck didn't really go on that many dates or it didn't feel like it to me. We didn't learn a lot about him, just that he loved Ever, and I know that there is more to a person that that. So the fact we didn't get too much depth for him was kind of upsetting. And the end (view spoiler)[when he surprised her with the wedding, yeah it was cute but he has some balls just expecting her to just get married without him asking and literally around everyone who put her down... that I didn't love, I wish it was more she got to experience her prom or something not her wedding.. oh well. (hide spoiler)] Also (view spoiler)[Who the heck died in the epilogue...? I thought it could be her brother since she was holding her niece, but it could be her dad, but then I thought Crow because of the motorcycle... WHY DIDN'T SHE TELL US! (hide spoiler)]...more

Mary (The Edge) Reynolds is an interesting MC. I enjoyed seeing her grow a little bit more confident throughout the book, but the main thing is I didn't connect with her. She was a little all over the place for me, she would be very confident one second then self deprecating the next. I get the insecurities, especially after all that she went through, but I got a little annoyed after a while when she would always compare herself to a bridge troll.
Dylan Mason, he was great at the beginning and he was very supportive and knew what Mary would need. I think that the main reason he kept going down and down for me was the over use of "Sweetheart" it happened almost every single time he would talk to Mary. I loved it at the beginning but seeing it at least 5 times on the page would be annoying.
I also wish we got deeper in to the two main characters. Since this was a first book in a series we are bombarded with a crazy amount of characters. In this book we had at least 15 maybe more characters shoved in our face at the beginning that I was thinking I missed a whole book before this one. And with all of those characters and each of them trying to shine light on themselves so we would want to be invested in their books when they come up, I feel we lost the main characters of this book.
Overall it was an okay read, I felt like things were missing, but that didn't stop me from reading the whole thing. Thank god for audiobooks am I right?...more

I must not be a fan of how Sarah Piper writes relationships because there is always one guy who the FMC doesn't have a deep connection with but will for some reason go through the end of the earth to save....
I was interested in the action and what the FMC was going through but after about 60% I stopped caring again like in the other book and decided to skim to see what happened and if anything did happen... which I feel like it didn't.
Oh well it was an interesting read but just not for me. ...more

I am apparently getting really picky these days...which SUCKS.
I really enjoyed the beginning of the book, up until the 80% and then I started to lose interest.... I couldn't say why.
I also felt no love connection between Stevie and Ani (Ansel) mainly due to the fact that he was rarely in any scenes. Baz, Kirin and Cass you could feel the sexual tension and their relaitonship with Stevie blooming from the beginning.. but Ansel just felt like a character the author threw in and forgot about.
I also learned that when there are spells/riddles in rhyme in fantasy books, and the main character has to decode them, I feel like an utter idiot. The main character will be like of course it has to mean this because of "A, B and C" While I sit there and am like, no, I don't see that. That happened a few times in this book, but I let it go because I was interested in what was going to happen next.
I am still debating on whether I will continue with the series or not.. lets get real if I am debating it, it probably won't happen....more

I am a little confused as to what I just read haha. I enjoyed the writing, it sucked me in and kept me hooked throughout the whole story, but I felt like there were things missing. I could feel the connection with Jared and Allie, and I could tell there was some small spark with Clay and Allie.
I could see where the author wanted to go, but I feel like if this book was longer and the relationships with the main characters were more flushed out it would have been more enjoyable. All of the events of this book spanned a week, and A LOT happened in this week. Just everything was very surface level and if we had more back story for all the characters I would have liked it more.
Overall a good start to a series, since it was so short it was very fast paced and keeps you hooked. I will start the second book and hopefully we get a little deeper with the characters... *fingers crossed*...more

Can I just say that when going in to this book I was looking for something to hold my attention for more than 3 chapters. I have been in the biggest slump of the year and I am not down for it.
This book was such a pleasant surprise. I loved every moment of this book. All of the guys (Knox, Cole, Thad, Levi, and Macklin) were everything I didn't know I needed.
If you are looking for a book with a sassy ghost that gives her 5 guys a run for their money then this is the book for you.
Honestly why is it so hard to find words for books that just are amazing??
Also the fact that this was a debut book for this author, I am shook.
The one thing I would change is..... THE RELEASE DATE OF THE SECOND BOOK..... WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL 2021 FOR THE NEXT ONE???????????
Overall anyone who knows what is good for them, needs to pick up this book....more

The premise was cool, a girl getting all the powers and has to find a way to control them all without losing control.
What we got was a girl who tried to act tough and mature but was actually immature and whiny. She was tolerable in the beginning, but she went downhill very fast, and this isn't a long book.
I thought I would care enough to want to continue with the second book since this ended on a big cliffhanger, but I didn't connect with any of the characters especially Kenzie... I only finished the book for Enzo, but we barely got any of him.
Overall not worth your time, but if they decided to make Kenzie more tolerable, I wouldn't mind trying again. ...more

This was like watching a train wreck, I don't enjoy the idea of it, but it is so hard to look away. I didn't really like Delta, she tried too hard to be too cool, but when it came down to it she was very selfish and whiney.. I couldn't connect. I really liked the dynamic of the guys, but I don't think that is enough for me to continue... Like the ending ended in a cliffhanger, and my first thought was "ehh... not my favorite"

Okay.. I really got hooked in to this book, and HOLLA for that because I have been in the biggest slump it was unreal! I really loved Declan and Teagan's relationship. I think that there needed to be more development for the relationship between the five guys and Teagan to be believable for me. Also the last scene with Lucas was a little rushed for my liking and didn't flow like I hoped.
But the writing was super easy to follow for a romantic fantasy, which I loved. I will definitely read more of Rita and Alexa's books.
Overall though very enjoyable and an easy quick read... which I should have waited until the second book was closer to release....more

Dang okay this book yes had its predictable moments, looking at you Ansher, but even with that it was still a great read!
For being a debut book I am really impressed. The humor reminded me of Raven Kennedy's I this gave me some Cupidity vibes, which I LOVED!
Lana and her boys (Leo, Luke, Zedd, Hale and Ash) all grew up in foster care together, they formed a tight friendship that was leaning to the more than friends side. Also within this world a lot of natural disasters were happening, it was pretty much their norm, which I thought was an interesting twist to how one event will change the course of the future.
Lana has gone through a lot growing up in the system but luckily Beth took in her and the boys and raised them for about 15 years. But the day before Lana's 21st birthday she and the guys experience some unexpected life...."upgrades". I don't want to give away anything else. I feel like going in to this book blind is the way to go. You get more out of it without having to expect what is going to happen next.
The next part is for me to remember what happened when the next book comes around. (view spoiler)[ Lana is actually Oslana from the beginning of the book and all of her mates are reincarnated as well. The only problem is that Ash had a Jekyll and Hyde situation with Ansher (who took over his body). You can tell that from the start when he is showing signs of being more territorial of Lana and taking it out on the other guys. I did predict that but I am not mad I did.
Now some key things to remember for the next book: Leo: (Luke's Twin) Fire is his power, jokesters Luke: (Leo's Twin) Water is his power, jokesters Zedd: Nerd, wind is his power, quiet cutie, cooks and wants to maintain peace Hale: power unknown....? maybe Earth..? Serious one, the Leader Ash: Ansher power/aka the dark side, and lightening, if that is it? Lana: All her mates powers Serenity: Witch that is helping Lana and the guys figure out how to control the powers Gaia: Earth Goddess, reincarnated Lana and the boys to help fight Ansher/dark fae. This book was super cute. Maggie and Shane's banter was adorable I love Shane! He is that perfect balance of awkward and cute. I really enjoyed reading about their romance.
The conflict that happened in the story wasn't my favorite, miscommunication and running away from issues but it wasn't dragged out which was the nice part.
I think that Maggie did have moments when she did act a little immature, but she wasn't too bad. I would have enjoyed more family bonding from either family since they said they were so close with their respective families.
Overall a cute romcom that will guarantee a smile!...more
