I liked the mystery of this one more than the first one. But something felt off to me with the relationship, it could have been the audiobook that made it feel off to me..
Overall I love Rains sass he knows the right amount of sarcasm to use whether that is to someone or in his head, he can always make me laugh out loud.
I might hold off to read the third book, but who knows what mood I will be in today....more

Dang this was the first book that I read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I will say that this is a SLOW BURN. I feel like the romantic relationship didn't happen, there were sexy times don't get me wrong but they didn't establish that they were in a relationship.
This was a great start to a series and I loved all of the characters! Now have to wait a month before the next book... idk why I do this to myself.. but I obviously love to torture myself. ...more
I am apparently getting really picky these days...which SUCKS.
I really enjoyed the beginning of the book, up until the 80% and then I starte3 stars..

I really enjoyed the beginning of the book, up until the 80% and then I started to lose interest.... I couldn't say why.
I also felt no love connection between Stevie and Ani (Ansel) mainly due to the fact that he was rarely in any scenes. Baz, Kirin and Cass you could feel the sexual tension and their relaitonship with Stevie blooming from the beginning.. but Ansel just felt like a character the author threw in and forgot about.
I also learned that when there are spells/riddles in rhyme in fantasy books, and the main character has to decode them, I feel like an utter idiot. The main character will be like of course it has to mean this because of "A, B and C" While I sit there and am like, no, I don't see that. That happened a few times in this book, but I let it go because I was interested in what was going to happen next.
I am still debating on whether I will continue with the series or not.. lets get real if I am debating it, it probably won't happen....more
I am a little confused as to what I just read haha. I enjoyed the writing, it sucked me in and kept me hooked throughout the whole story, but3 stars..
I am a little confused as to what I just read haha. I enjoyed the writing, it sucked me in and kept me hooked throughout the whole story, but I felt like there were things missing. I could feel the connection with Jared and Allie, and I could tell there was some small spark with Clay and Allie.
I could see where the author wanted to go, but I feel like if this book was longer and the relationships with the main characters were more flushed out it would have been more enjoyable. All of the events of this book spanned a week, and A LOT happened in this week. Just everything was very surface level and if we had more back story for all the characters I would have liked it more.
Overall a good start to a series, since it was so short it was very fast paced and keeps you hooked. I will start the second book and hopefully we get a little deeper with the characters... *fingers crossed*...more
Can I just say that when going in to this book I was looking for something to hold my attention for more than 3 chapters. I have been in the bi5 stars
Can I just say that when going in to this book I was looking for something to hold my attention for more than 3 chapters. I have been in the biggest slump of the year and I am not down for it.
This book was such a pleasant surprise. I loved every moment of this book. All of the guys (Knox, Cole, Thad, Levi, and Macklin) were everything I didn't know I needed.
If you are looking for a book with a sassy ghost that gives her 5 guys a run for their money then this is the book for you.
Honestly why is it so hard to find words for books that just are amazing??
Also the fact that this was a debut book for this author, I am shook.
The one thing I would change is..... THE RELEASE DATE OF THE SECOND BOOK..... WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL 2021 FOR THE NEXT ONE???????????
Overall anyone who knows what is good for them, needs to pick up this book....more

HOLY CRAP I LOVED THIS!! I don't know what about this book had me hooked from start to finish! I haven't had this experience in such a long time that I am on cloud nine!!!
I loved all the main characters, Sam, Dante, Tristan, and Red. UGH this was perfection.
The premise was cool, a girl getting all the powers and has to find a way to control them all without losing control.
What we got was a girl who2 stars
The premise was cool, a girl getting all the powers and has to find a way to control them all without losing control.
What we got was a girl who tried to act tough and mature but was actually immature and whiny. She was tolerable in the beginning, but she went downhill very fast, and this isn't a long book.
I thought I would care enough to want to continue with the second book since this ended on a big cliffhanger, but I didn't connect with any of the characters especially Kenzie... I only finished the book for Enzo, but we barely got any of him.
Overall not worth your time, but if they decided to make Kenzie more tolerable, I wouldn't mind trying again. ...more
Okay I really love Raven Kennedy's writing, but I think I don't like Ivy Asher's... I read their other collaboration or April's Fools, and2.5-3 stars.

This was like watching a train wreck, I don't enjoy the idea of it, but it is so hard to look away. I didn't really like Delta, she tried too hard to be too cool, but when it came down to it she was very selfish and whiney.. I couldn't connect. I really liked the dynamic of the guys, but I don't think that is enough for me to continue... Like the ending ended in a cliffhanger, and my first thought was "ehh... not my favorite"
Overall if you liked April's Fools, and a lot of pop culture references then this will be for you. ...more

It was a very PG RH, and I don't even think any kissing happened... but this was such a short book that I wasn't bothered by it since she met her "mates" within a day so I get the wanting to take things slow.
Overall it was a quick read, but forgettable... the humor in this book was good but I felt like it would have been better if I read this authors others books to really get immersed in the world. ...more

I feel like if this story was longer and the characters didn't have their whole relationship in a span of what felt like 3 days I would have enjoyed this so much more. I loved Carters brothers, and their dynamic with Maia.
You could feel the chemistry with Carter and Maia, but it was waaaaay too rushed to feel real. I get it I have read my fair share of shifter books and know that when you find a mate/true mate that its like insta-love, and I don't have a problem with that. But for some reason it just didn't feel like those other books. I did love the brothers dynamics so I hope that they each get their own story.
Overall a super fast read and entertaining so I would recommend it to someone who wants something fast and will keep you hooked from start to finish. ...more

Honestly.... "whatfreakingever"... If I had to listen/read that one more time I was going to chuck my kindle.. that got really annoying and took me out of the enjoyment of the book.
I don't really remember too much about this book honestly... it wasn't as good as the first and I felt like the first book should have been a stand alone.
Overall the book was good but I felt not as good as the first one. It was like the author tried to make Jamie like Taryn so it read like her and didn't really feel like a different story..
I would say read this book if you wanted to continue with the series, but this might be it for me.
Okay, let me start by saying... I don't really remember much, but I did get hooked in to this book really fast. It was entertaining and I lo4.5 stars
Okay, let me start by saying... I don't really remember much, but I did get hooked in to this book really fast. It was entertaining and I loved how Taryn was very strong willed and didn't take any crap from Trey.
I really did enjoy this whole book from start to finish, I listened to the audiobook while reading along so I think that helped with the enjoyment. Honestly if I didn't have the kindle book to follow along with I would have been lost a few times. The author switches perspective throughout the chapters since it is written in 3rd person. There were also SOOOO many characters that even with the book I was getting all confused!
I think this was a very strong first book to a series, so the books after this have a high standard to live up to. ...more
Not gunna lie, I didn't feel much of a relationship connection with Rhage and Mary. It felt too much of a back and forth, with them and I w3.5-4 Stars
Not gunna lie, I didn't feel much of a relationship connection with Rhage and Mary. It felt too much of a back and forth, with them and I was going a little bit crazy.
I really enjoyed Bella and Zhadist, they were what was keeping me going as well as John's side story. I think that compared to Wrath's story I felt like this one was lacking. It might just be me but I didn't connect with Rhage or Mary as much as I thought I was going to.
I still love Vishious and Butchs bromance, it didn't show up a lot but when it did it was magic (I wish they would be an MM couple, but one can only dream).
Also with Phury, I didn't feel anything to him because he rarely shows up and when he does he doesn't have a commanding presence like the other brothers, that could just be a Phury thing, but we will see.
I loved listening to this audiobook while tabbing my physical copy. I think that made the experience. It also helps me get through the parts I am not particularly fond of like the Lesser sections.
I can't wait to read Zhadist's story he is who I have been rooting for since book one, soooo bring it on!...more
Okay this book had an interesting synopsis. I did read this book withing like 4 hours, it was super fast. The writing was easy to follow.2.5 ish stars
Okay this book had an interesting synopsis. I did read this book withing like 4 hours, it was super fast. The writing was easy to follow. I just felt like since this was advertised as a RH high school romance I was waiting for that to happen, and like other high school RH romances I have read, they become friends first with the group of guys before feelings hit, i mean you see that they are attracted to one another, but nothing happens.
The main issues I had with this book was Carter, I feel like he is a slime ball there was something off about him and the other group of friends that she originally makes. I didn't like any of them, they were WAAAYYY to preppy for my taste and were the "popular" group and they were annoying. I didn't care for them. I did like the group of guys that were suppose to be her harem haha but we didn't get a lot of time with them. I would have really enjoyed multiple POV's with the boys and the main character girl (who's name escapes me).
I really had high hopes for this, the beginning of the book rocked I loved the way that things were fleshed out, but then they would do activities and then it would just fade to black, like they would have a pool party and then bam it's the next day, and I would have loved to know if there was any tea spilled during that time.
Overall i just didn't connect enough with the main characters to want to continue. I did like the beginning so I definitely will try other books from this author, but I don't think that this series is for me. ...more
