"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand." This Einstein's quote pop into my head after I start.
It's all begin with the three names of the book for me to pick that's amazing because I never see and think of that before. Second the space species in this book is also awesome. Everything in "Larklight" is beyond anybody imagination but the story turn out to be okay for me. It's not that funny or even thrill and not that bore to death either; it's just okay.
"Laklight" is a space opera set in an alternate Victorian era universe, where mankind has been exploring the solar system for at least a century. Young Art Mumby narrates an attack on the British Empire and the solar system at large, by an ancient race of white spiders, in which he and his family play a central role, aided by the pirate Jack Havock and his crew.
I'm very annoyed Myrtle's character and I don't know why Jack has an interested in her at the first place. This is the mystery of love and "Laklight." I think the story will be more interested if Myrtle stops annoying me.
I'm giving "Laklight" two stars because I know the target audience must be kids (but I'm not a kid). It's not a bad book; it's just okay like I said in the beginning....more
