This book gripped right from it's synopsis. I have an affinity for books like these but I can rarely find them. Rules of Survival did not disappoint. This book gripped right from it's synopsis. I have an affinity for books like these but I can rarely find them. Rules of Survival did not disappoint. It was purely an amazing read to the point where I just could not stop reading. Books like these just add to my insomniac life. The protagonist was not annoying, so that's something. I actually quite liked her fire. Shaun, on the other hand, is most probably my new book beau. The author paints a lovely picture of what he could potentially look like. At the end, I was quite sad that I might start crying cause of what happened but thank God that didn't happen! I need more books like this in my life...more

I thought I’d have enough restraint to wait to read it the next day but Alas, I did not. I finished the book around 4 and just could not sleep after reading it 3. I'm also really sorry it took me so long to get down to writing the review, I've just had so much going on :/ I have to say thought that Adventures in Homicide and Heartbreak

Milda Harristhis might have been my least favourite of the funeral crashing series but that’s only because of what happens in the book, emphasis on the heartbreak :/ But other than that, this book is a MUST read for those who have read the others and love amateur young adult detective series. Kait really pissed me off in this book. Nosiness is one of my pet peeves so I think that’s why it irritated me. Like why couldn’t she just leave things well enough alone if she knew it was going to affect things with her and Ethan? It was so stupid. I felt like punching her a few times, not going to lie. I get that it’s ingrained in her but she should be more tactful and not so forceful when going about doing her sleuthing. Overall, I did enjoy the book but just not what happens in it. I really hope everything works out in the next book. I can barely wait for it! Milda Harris is definitely one of my fave authors, her books resonate and are what realistic fiction is all about. ...more

This book is pretty much EXACTLY the kinda ghost book I like. The girl falls in love with the guy ghost even tho it can't be cause he's already dead but the whole Kade thing was a really awesome thinG! This way I don't feel so heartbroken about Ian.
I felt really sorry for Riley, her mom dies then she can see ghosts. That could suck for anyone :/
Anyway, this book is def awesome!! I started my 2012 book year with a really great amazing book! (:
I recommend EVERYONE read this!!
Update: I just realised there IS a sequel that is out right now. EEEEEEPPP!!...more
