It gets much worse two camera crew dead and one of them did it. All pointing towards the wrong person for being the outsider. Maddy pushed out so far does she become what they all thought or do they deserve it?
The one who surely did not deserve it was Zoe. Zoe and the baby. Even Shaun I can see why Maddy felt worse about those.
Three got off the island one responsible for being there longer which caused so much more disaster. It also stopped communication from anywhere else. One who could not cope. Then Maddy the sole narrater of the piece. She's not bad just She's not good either. Perfect lead character.
Much better than I anticipated highly recommend. The review does not do it justice. If you have this on your to read pile you will not be disappointed....more

It is beautifully written from the prospective of how special Ruthie is. Unrecognised by her father Ed for much of the book.
Over in the states Sam is on cue for the biggest promotion of his life. Until he is thrown with positive test results no one wants to hear. It is in the end uncurable. Jumping on the first plane out, jumping in a taxi ending up in a random place. Of course it was Richmond.
Sam and Anna never would have met in some life times but both would be so glad they did. The moral of this story is living for the moment as no one knows when time is up (or would want to).

T**spoiler alert** This one pulls at your heartstrings from the starting point missing plushie cow who is part of the family. Who is the lucky charm. The idea was unique and special. As an adult who loves teddy bears it pulled me in from the start. That and the fact Duffy is from Cumbria where I live it was meant to be a favourite of mine.
Natasha and Tom (Duffy) time was never on their side. From Natasha getting married (the less said about Rob, James whoever he is the better) to disasters up mountains. For time to finally possibly just be on their side. I loved Tom from the off he is so likeable given everything which has happened to him too. Natasha I could say grew on me. Grew on me every chapter with Tom. I could not take to Rob and there was clearly a reason for it.
Such a beautiful, sad, tragic love of two people who had a spark from first meeting, an unbreakable bond which could not be replaced. With a moose pulling them back together.
I did not guess who was Mabel's father. It was quite the surprise at the end. A pleasant surprise after all the heartbreak.
Told across four plus years another fantastic winter read by Karen Swan. This is one of the best if not best I have read.

This was the best most additive read I have had in a long time. It is Peter James at the top of his game. There has not been a bad book in this seriesThis was the best most additive read I have had in a long time. It is Peter James at the top of his game. There has not been a bad book in this series however this one is stand out. It has everything making you believe you are the characters you feel their love, you feel there pain.
From the start the murders begin only covered to most eyes as suicide. Red does not believe it is neither does Grace. Red is such a likeable character who you can totally root for. She had found a new love after her last disastrous online date. Apart from he is out to kill, out to kill her and everything she loves. He loves a fire or two or three plus.
Byrce is an horrific character but so thrilling and chilling to read about. He totally got what he deserved in the end. I was hoping he got the justice he deserved in prison by the fellow inmates. They could not have picked a nicer person.
So much happened in this book with Norman getting so much more and Bella. Poor Bella. Poor Norman and the others left behind.
In terms of Roy you continue to read about him being father to Noah and his wedding to Cleo. The wedding dream or nightmare before was fantastic. Once again I wanted to know so much more about Sandy. It is so wrong to be rooting for her over Cleo in a way but I cannot help it. I loved how on the second time coming honeymoon Roy cut his phone call, he did answer it but cut it short. Cleo's I have never seen you do that before for the reply to be I have never been on honeymoon with you before.
The last standout moment from a book full of standout moments I will have missed something or not wanted to give everything away. Cassian Pewe is back the rival the slight villain to the police force that makes a fantastic read. Is he playing a game of keep your friends close but your "enemies" closer?
Standout out book with not a bad element. 100/5 stars...more

I also wondered if it would be a little long at first but once I got into it, this book could never be long enough to know enough about all the characters. This book however deserves it's own praise for being a fabulous piece of storytelling that is different to One Day.
It was different, which I liked the two main love interests didn't meet properly until quite near the end. I don't think I'd have quite buyed into them at the beginning to get together, to me it was better coming later on. I like the side characters of both Tess and Gus's family and friends. Gus constantly thinking he's the least popular brother and Tess's struggles with Hope. Tess and Gus deserve as much praise as each other for keeping my interest, I didn't want to read more about one person than the other which often happens to me. I liked both of them and liked how they were very different. Tess I found myself thinking what she'd say before even reading it. I have to love a character that thinks like me. Going through the years I never got bored of what was coming. I loved the settings of London, Italy and New York just the description of travel you need when in Lockdown.
Okay, I liked One Day a little more but this book was brilliant in it's own style.
I love Claudia Carroll's writing style and this was no expectation. At first I questioned if I was going to like this book as much or at all. It kept I love Claudia Carroll's writing style and this was no expectation. At first I questioned if I was going to like this book as much or at all. It kept getting better and better. I admired how different it was from the start but from the middle towards the end it grabbed my interest much more. I liked all the characters in the book including; Simon, Angie, Kitty and Jack. I predicted how it would end with who would end up with who but that didn't stop the enjoyment. It's a story best summed up by being one of a kind, a missing person with hidden back story and changing identity and a love triangle between three close friends. I felt for Angie being on the wrong side of the love triangle but she deserved better with Jack, she's best with Simon as friends. ...more

Maybe I loved it is the wrong choice of words for such a horror filled book but I enjoyed it. It's got such a stalker feel to the book and I completely didn't guess who it was. It really gives you the chills.
People are being watched on the London Underground (not just by cameras). There commutes are being stalked to the exact detail and it's very chilling.
It took me a while to warm to Zoe but by the end I was rooting for her not to be the next victim of the attacks. Zoe and Katie make a great team and I loved how Katie went across London nearer the end.
I liked Kelly and the story about her sister. The police and detectives element to the story made this through able enjoyable to me.
Even though he's not the bad guy I still didn't take to Simon.
Easily a 5 star read the end was just so chilling but brilliantly written at the same time....more

If only that could help the main character Maggie. If you think her present life is troubled she's certaintly had her fair share in the past. She isn't a completely bad person but she's troubled.
The story had a good pace and kept me interested throughout. I wondered right until the end where Sean had gone. That's before the detail of Ben was thrown in. I wasnt expecting what happened before the epilogue.
The end really tied together what had happened throughout the book which is a pleasant change from many novels....more

As the story progressed I understood why many characters were needed. It added to the detail of the story.
None of the guests will get over the weekend away (some didn't even make it out alive). There was nowhere to run or nowhere to hide and if you tried you also didn't get out alive. It would be a terrifying situation to be in. It's a holiday you certaintly would wish you hadn't bothered with ( a holiday from hell).
Out of the characters I enjoyed reading about David, Gwen and Riley the most. They were all covered in depth however.
I didn't guess who the killer was unlike David. What a sick twist at the end but it adds to the unlikeability of many of the characters.
I love the writing style from Shari Lapena again I just think this one took me longer to get into than the others I have read.

They are brought into question by a phone call from the hospital about an accident? Involving a car and pole and a murder. Is the house wife who she says she is?
I can connect with the characters more than in the couple next door but they are all still quite strange. I love how complex they all are. Just like the detective though I wouldn't want to be Tom. He's got one stranger in his bed with more tramua and secrets than the city and another crazy stalker across the road.
By the end they are all pretending in their lives and still reliving the tramua.
Shari Lapena is becoming one of my favourite authors with complex characters and brilliant storylines....more

My biggest problem was the chapters were so long, you were with the same character for too long in one go. You had no chance for a breather in the long chapters. Shorter chapters would have been preferable for me.
As for the story I felt it took too long to get going. When half way through it was like a different book the characters were finally feeling more like they were real. Maggie, Rosie and Katie are all strong characters, but I would have liked one side from a male perspective. I liked Katie's story the most with her highs and lows of being an A and E doctor.
