TJ est un énorme green flag et je suis tombée amoureuse de lui dès les premières pages. Il a une alchimie immédiate avec Lola et j'ai adoré leur relation. Lola est une femme très forte et une amie/maman incroyable. Phoenix est la star du livre et j'ai adoré chacune de ses apparitions.
Le côté famille est vraiment très présent dans l'histoire, autant biologique, que famille de cœur. Tous les personnages secondaires sont hyper attachants et j'ai vraiment hâte de découvrir leurs histoires !
Finalement, j'ai adoré le côté slowburn, la tension entre les deux et le fait qu'il n'y ait pas de 3 act breakup....more

Oui il y a du hockey, mais c’est une partie vraiment infime de l’histoire.
Il y avait énormément d'émotions et des larmes ont été versées. Je me suis énormément attachée à Ember et je l'ai trouvé d'une résilience incroyable. Josh est un soutien moral très fort et je l'ai trouvé adorable. D'ailleurs, leur relation prend le temps de bien se développer et j'ai beaucoup aimé le rythme de celle-ci.
Le plot twist m'a vraiment surprise et a donné un sens hyper intéressant à la suite. De même, pour la première fois, j'ai trouvé le 3rd act break up utile. La fin m'a beaucoup touché, mais je sens qu’il y a encore des choses à raconter et j'ai hâte de les retrouver.

(Update du 15/04/2024 : Avec le recul, je me souviens que Christian était très chiant, surtout lorsqu'il insultait Magnolia en boucle dans sa tête. Donc oui, le Christian de la fin était un coup de cœur, et j'ai probablement écrit mon avis à chaud, mais avant ça il était un peu insupportable quand même).
De même, la relation entre Christian et elle m’a énormément plu puisqu’on est sur du Friends with Benefits to Lovers. J’ai adoré leurs moments ensemble, tout particulièrement leur date qui est l’un des plus mignons que j’ai pu lire. La fin du livre m’a brisé le cœur et clairement, je n’avais pas besoin de ça.
J’ai adoré le found family trope et l’énergie de tous les personnages secondaires. Quant au côté gang, vol de tableau, c’est tout simplement du génie et j’ai adoré la dynamique que ça apportait à l’histoire. Ensuite, comment ne pas parler de Julian qui a été un gros coup de cœur ?
Par contre, il y a une chose qui m’a vraiment dérangé à la fois dans ce livre et dans celui d’avant : Est-ce que c’est vraiment nécessaire que tous les hommes soient amoureux en même temps des personnages féminins ???
Vraiment, je ne suis pas fan des triangles amoureux, mais là, on est sur des records avec des pentagones amoureux et c’est trop pour moi. J’ai aussi eu beaucoup de mal avec le comportement de Daisy dans la dernière partie du livre et sur le manque de communication qui ne fait que ralentir l’histoire.
Et dernier élément : Est-ce que toutes les notes en bas de pages étaient nécessaires ? Au début, c’était assez drôle et elles donnaient des informations utiles, mais 458 notes de bas de pages au total, c’est beaucoup trop et ça ralentit la lecture....more

Summer est tout aussi intéressante et a une histoire personnelle que j'ai trouvée très intéressante. Elle a toujours vécu dans l'ombre de la célébrité de son père et en a beaucoup souffert. Il y a une réflexion assez intéressante sur l'amour inconditionnel d'un enfant pour son parent, même quand le personne ne le mérite pas forcément. Je me suis beaucoup identifiée à elle et par voie de conséquence, je l'ai trouvé très attachante.
Je ne parle même pas de tous les personnages secondaires, amis de Summer, coéquipiers d'Aiden, qui m'ont fait mourir de rire en permanence. Il y a une vibe très famille entre eux et j'ai adoré. Noah est un gros coup de cœur et un book boyfriend incroyable !! J'ai adoré son altruisme et sa bienveillance permanente. J'ai immédiatement ressenti une connexion entre lui et Ariana. De plus, je me suis beaucoup attachée à la jeune fille et j'ai trouvé ses émotions très communicatives.

Dès le premier livre, je suis tombée amoureuse de Luna et Jackson et j'étais ravie d'apprendre que cette suite serait sur eux. Leur histoire est tellement adorable et j'ai adoré avoir certains passages de leur point de vue. Par contre, le livre est conçu pour être lu indépendamment du premier livre, ce qui fait que certains évènements importants sont passés un peu rapidement. D'ailleurs, le livre n'est pas du tout répétitif par rapport au premier livre.
La famille de Jackson est terriblement attachante et je rêverai d'un tome sur Lux (et un certain grumpy cowboy). Le found family trope est également très présent avec le lien qui existe entre les garçons et les filles.
Ce livre m'a fait rire, mais il m'a aussi bouleversé. Luna passe des moments très compliqués et je ne pensais pas que l'histoire prendrait cette direction. J'ai souffert pendant la troisième partie et heureusement que j'ai lu le livre d'un coup puisque le drama m'a paru moins long, mais sinon je pense qu'il est facile de décrocher en cours de route. Heureusement, après la pluie vient toujours le beau temps et j'ai adoré voir leur reconstruction.

Je me suis beaucoup attachée à Rhett et son côté maladroit. Quant à Sienna, j'ai adoré sa force de caractère. J'apprécie énormément quand les personnages ont des particularités et celle de Sienna rend son histoire très prenante.
Le trope hockey + patinage offre une dimension vraiment intéressante à l'histoire. En plus de ça, l'histoire met en avant un groupe d'amis très soudé et ils m'ont fait beaucoup rire. La romance arrive peut-être un peu vite, mais ça ne m'a pas vraiment dérangé puisque Rhett et Sienna ont une très bonne alchimie. Je n'ai absolument pas vu venir le plot twist à la fin et j'ai beaucoup souffert pour Rhett. Par contre, j'ai été étonnée de la maturité des personnages lorsque, confrontés à certaines situations, ils communiquent et expriment leurs émotions, plutôt que créer des dramas et des ruptures inutiles.

Malheureusement, je suis passée totalement à côté de ma lecture.
Je tiens à préciser que le problème vient de moi et non du livre. Mentalement, j’étais encore restée dans ma dernière lecture et je n’ai pas réussi à m’impliquer pleinement dans cette histoire. En plus de ça, j’avais des attentes peut-être trop hautes et qui n’ont pas été atteintes.
Ce que j’avais aimé dans le premier, c’était cette cohésion de groupe entre les joueurs de hockey. Ici, on perd un peu ce côté puisque l’action se déroule pendant l’été dans une colonie de vacances. Les nouveaux personnages sont une bonne rencontre, mais n’ont pas eu le même impact émotionnel que le reste. En plus de ça, il n’y avait pas du tout de hockey et ça m’a vraiment manqué
Je n’ai pas non plus accroché plus que ça à la relation entre les personnages que j’ai trouvé celle-ci parfois trop rapide et parfois trop lente.

J'ai adoré ma lecture et leur relation m'a beaucoup touché, encore plus les flashbacks sur leur rencontre et leur passé. J'ai vu pas mal de personnes déçues qui s'attendaient à plus en termes de "groveling", mais personnellement j'ai trouvé que Dominic faisait beaucoup d'efforts tout au long du livre.
De manière générale, j'ai adoré ma lecture mais il m'a manqué un petit truc en plus pour que ce soit un 5/5. J'aime toujours autant les personnages secondaires et les références à la saga Twisted ont été une excellente surprise (surtout quand il s'agit de mon couple préféré !!!).
Maintenant, j'ai hâte de découvrir l'histoire de Xavier et Sloane et j'espère que King of Gluttony sera sur Sebastian, personnage que j'aime déjà énormément !...more

Du côté des personnages, je les ai tout simplement adorés, que ce soit les principaux ou les secondaires. D'ailleurs, j'ai hâte de lire les livres sur Rhett et sur Maverick. Les personnages ont tous une bonne alchimie entre eux et du côté de la romance, j'ai directement ressenti une connexion entre Adam et Raegan. Le livre m'a aussi énormément fait rire et +1 point pour la scène mythique de Love Actually.
Par contre, j'ai l'impression qu'il manquait une ligne directrice. Tout va trop vite ou se règle trop rapidement. On a plusieurs tropes comme du fake dating ou du pining mais qui durent seulement quelques chapitres. Les personnages se mettent très rapidement ensemble mais font face à des minis dramas qui se résolvent aussi vite qu'ils sont arrivés. On rajoutera aussi qu'une fois ensemble, les personnages oublient totalement leur groupe d'amis et se referment sur eux-mêmes, ce qui est assez agaçant puisque la force du roman est justement ces personnages secondaires.
Du coup, ils n'apportent rien à l'histoire et j'ai eu l'impression qu'ils étaient là uniquement dans le but de remplir des pages. Le 3rd act breakup s'inscrit d'ailleurs dans la même lignée. Scarlett est terriblement attachante et Léo est l’un des meilleurs bookboyfriends. Gros coup de cœur aussi pour toute la bande de personnages secondaires (Ash, Tyler, Jade et compagnie). Il y a de liens assez forts entre eux et c’est adorable à lire.
La romance a pris son temps malgré le côté one night stand et j’ai apprécié que ce ne soit pas rushé. Il y avait pas mal de forced proximity et J’ADORE ÇA !!

Considérant la personnalité très goofy de Ronan, je m'attendais à un livre beaucoup plus léger que les autres. Finalement, ce fut loin d'être le cas. Les sujets sont très lourds et explicites.

Le côté plus sombre de Ronan et la douleur de Teal m'ont beaucour touchés. Par contre, j'ai trouvé la relation trop rapide, trop facile. Ronan et Teal ont une bonne dynamique diamétralement opposée mais elle aurait pu être mieux développée avec plus de pages dans l’histoire. Pareil, les conséquences de ce qu’ils ont vécu à la fin ne sont pas explorées.
J’ai quand même passé un bon moment de lecture mais pour moi l’histoire vaut un 3,5/5.

Encore une très bonne lecture et j'ai beaucoup apprécié découvrir de nouveaux personnages ! Je n'imaginais pas du tout que l’histoire de Xander et Kim Encore une très bonne lecture et j'ai beaucoup apprécié découvrir de nouveaux personnages ! Je n'imaginais pas du tout que l’histoire de Xander et Kim ressemblerait à ça. J'ai adoré leurs moments enfants et leur complicité. C'est une relation très addictive même si Xander est détestable lors de certaines scènes.
L'histoire de Kim m'a brisé le coeur et les scènes de TCA et d'automutilation étaient abominables à lire. Si vous êtes sensibles à ces sujets, ne vous aventurez pas du tout dans ces pages. La mère de Kim est probablement l'un des personnages de livre que j'ai le plus détesté.
Par contre, je n'ai pas du tout été fan d’un certains plot twist même si c'était seulement temporaire. L’intrigue était un peu trop tiré par les cheveux pour moi.
Finalement, j’ai hâte de découvrir l'histoire de Teal et Ronan puisque ce sont des personnages que j'apprécie énormément mais qui sont diamétralement opposés. Leur dynamique promet d’être intéressante !

Concernant l’intrigue principale, j’étais vraiment plongée dedans en terminant le tome précédent mais j’ai ressenti un creux dans ce troisième tome. Alors que l’action et les révélations étaient en constante progression dans le deuxième livre, j’ai ressenti quelques petites lenteurs dans la première partie.
Quant à la romance, j’ai apprécié voir un côté plus doux, plus humain d’Aiden. Par contre pour Elsa, j’ai eu l’impression de faire un pas en avant, trois en arrière. Ses doutes sont compréhensibles mais ses changements d’avis m’ont un peu agacée. Idem concernant la surabondance de scènes de sexes. Il n’est pas nécessaire d’inclure des scènes de sexes dans chaque chapitre, dès que les protagonistes s’adressent la parole, surtout que souvent ça cassaient le rythme ou le côté émotionnel de certaines scènes.
