** spoiler alert ** The romance has too much similarity with Acomaf/Acowar. It left a bitter taste in my mouth plus rowan and aelin just doesn't give me that connection I look for in a relarionship. I was surprised to find myself detesting this couple. Maybe because it started with violence and suddenly they are in love because of some primal bond to make it credible? I thought the story would come full circle with Dorian and Aelin. Or at least with Chaol with all that deep feelings of finding her home at last (although I hated this team up too because again I felt no connection). After Chaol and she again fell in love with another guy, all the sweet sentimental bull doesn't sound at all credible to me. Like I cannot trust Aelin or the author. And let me not go to "they were the ending and beginning" bullcrap. Not when in EoS Rowan and Aelin suddenly become mates. Ha ha.
