This seemed like an introduction to the characters that will appear in the rest of the series. However, it was an engaging story and important to read as it sets the background for the series. The two main characters, Gillian and Simon, had previous history and a number of things have occurred during the 5 years since they had seen each other. There are dangerous times and heart wrenching moments. I look forward to seeing how the series develops.
