really liked it

Nice and entertaining

One thing I will give this book is that it is chuck full of action. Aeyli and Fourteen never seem to catch a break. Fourteen was extremely complex and I really liked his character. Aeyli... she definitely has some growing to do, which is understandable being a shut-in sheltered girl. Maybe it was the typos or constant redundancy in her inner monologues that starting to irk me, not sure. She kinda went from 0 to 60 in experience and personality in this book IMO. I wouldn't mind seeing how she develops in the next book.
This is a RH novel which I have been obsessively binge reading the genre for a while. Now, while I can somewhat tolerate slow-burn RH storylines, this one moved at almost a snail-like pace. Yes Fourteen and Aeyli have a steamy scene or 2, but we have some other possibilities for the harem...but they were lacking in physical descriptions and much detail. It's frustrating to say the least. So while I liked the overall story with a magical urban fantasy romance flair, I do hope for more from Aeyli and her "harem".

So it action, fantasy, and twist plot: 5/5stars
Romance and character development (supporting characters): 4/5 borderline 3.5/5 since I'm a bit impatient for the harem to come together. Definitely worth reading though.
