“Do You Dare?” de Lylah James es el primer libro perteneciente a “Truth And Dare Duet”. Un romance new adult, de enemigos a amigos… con bully y algunos momentos cómicos.

Cuando Lila Garcia conoce a Maddox Coulter todo su mundo cambia. Ambos no se soportan o eso quieren hacer creer. Años de instituto y de universidad les han hecho cambiar su relación y ser amigos, pero dos palabras hacen que su amistad se complique “Te reto”. Estos cada vez son mayores y Maddox sabe que cuando desafía a Lila ella nunca pierde. Ambos ponen en ese juego en marcha ninguno puede escapar. Pero ahora Maddox le ha propuesto un desafío muy difícil a Lila, sus sentimientos la hacen tambalearse, pero ella nunca pierde, ¿no?

Nuevamente Lylah James me ha dejado sin palabras con un libro que lo he amado de principio a fin y que desafortunadamente me ha dejado con un final sin cerrar que no puedo aguantarme las ganas de saber qué pasa con Lila y Maddox.

El prólogo de esta historia me dejó sin palabras. La tensión y deseo que ambos sentían, la oscuridad que Maddox transmitía siempre expectante de cada movimiento de Lila, pero nada más conocer el primer reto, ya supe que este libro me iba a hacer pasar un muy buen rato leyéndolo.

"No te enamores de mí, Lila. Te voy a romper."

Ambos personajes desde el principio no se aguantan, pero sienten algo y se contienen utilizando bromas y momentos graciosos para compensar y quitar hierro al asunto. El cambio de ese odio y el comienzo de esa relación de amigos no quita la química a ambos sienten, pero que una y otra vez niegan.

"Si te amo, te doy el poder de destruirme. No soy lo suficientemente fuerte para eso. No puedo ser sólo otra chica para ti, Maddox. Necesito ser más; merezco más, y no creo que se pueda dar eso. No puedo arriesgarnos y lo que somos. Somos perfectos.... así. Amigos."

Lila García es un personaje fuerte, inteligente y muy divertida pero también descarada que no le importa lo que piensen los demás. Maddox en cabio es el tipo con dinero, el jugador dentro y fuera del campo. Pero simplemente con su personalidad ya me ha enamorado.

"Lo siento, mejillas dulces. No puedes darle comida a un hombre hambriento y quitársela. Así como no puedes poner un coño en exhibición frente a un hombre cachondo y esperar que no te devore".

Llegar al principio de la historia y conocer lo que ocurrió esa noche se me hizo largo, pero agradezco cada momento para llegar a esa parte q me dejo sin palabras. ¿Pero ese final? ¿Q demonios ha pasado? Espero que no sea lo q creo q es porque me si es así me va a romper en pedacitos.

Sinceramente todos los libros de Lylah James y este en particular los amo porque sabe perfectamente como escribir y hacer una historia tan buena, además de escribir a los personajes masculinos tal y como a mí me gustan. Por supuesto es uno de mis escritores favoritas.

Years of high school and college have made them change their relationship and be friends, but three words make their friendship complicated, "I dare you". These are getting bigger, and Maddox knows that when she dares Lila, she never loses. When both put into that game in motion, neither can escape. But now Maddox has proposed a very difficult dare to Lila, her feelings make her stagger, but she never loses, right?

Again Lylah James has left me speechless with a book that I have loved from beginning to end, and that, unfortunately, has left me with an unfinished end that I can not resist the desire to know what happens to Lila and Maddox.

The prologue of this story left me speechless. The tension and desire that both felt, the darkness that Madox always transmitted expectant of each Lila's movement, but as soon as I knew the first dare, I knew that this book was going to make me have a very good time reading it.

“Don’t fall for me, Lila. I’ll break you.”

Both characters can't tolerate each other from the beginning, but they feel something and contain themselves by using jokes and funny moments to compensate and take the iron out of the matter. The change of that hate and the beginning of that friendship does not remove the chemistry both feel, but they deny over and over again.

"If I love you, I give you the power to destroy me. I’m not strong enough for that. I can’t be just another girl to you, Maddox. I need to be more; I deserve more, and I don’t think you can give that. I can’t risk us and what we are. We’re beautiful… just like this. Friends.”

Lila is a strong, intelligent and very funny, who doesn't care what others think. Maddox, on the other hand, is the money guy, the player on and off the field. But I' ve already fallen in love with his personality

“Sorry, Sweet Cheeks. You can’t give a hungry man food and take it away. Just like you can’t put a pussy on display in front of a horny man and expect him not to devour you.”

Getting to the beginning of history and knowing what happened that night was long, but I appreciate every moment to finally read that part that left me speechless. But that end? What did the heck happen? I hope it's not what I think it is because if it is, it's going to break me into little pieces.

Sincerely all Lylah James books and this one, in particular, I love them because she knows perfectly how to write and make such a good story, as well that she knows how to write the male characters as I love them. She is one of my favorite writers.
