Poor Lady Olivia! Stuck with the usual social conventions that make marriage the only real option available to her - and ruined because of circumstances beyond her control. She and Claire Trevelyan (of Magnificent Devices) have so much in common. Lord Ian has the same problem, but at least he has the options to act in ways that may be rash but are considered socially acceptable - still, would Q want to be forced into an undesired marriage by M? What a couple Olivia and Ian make. What an action-filled and personally fulfilling courtship they had! Such fun for Shelly Adina, Gail Carriger and Ian Fleming fans!
