I won this book in a goodreads drawing.

A professional exorcist comes to Titusville, PA at the beginning of the first oil rush. It used to be a quiet, friendly, little town, but now is overcome by greed and sin. At first few people take him seriously, but then he encounters a powerful demon.

It's a bit strange. Sometimes, it seems like he's believes there are demons and such, and he's actually exocizing them. Others, it's more like he's a snake oil salesman.
