This would be a tough one for anyone who hasn't read MZs work in the past. This was extremely repetitive and gets a bit frustrating at times. SUCH a great idea! I loved the introduction of some really interesting characters after about 50% of the book. So much potential for future stories. This one was WAY to long though for what was packed in. If the repeat words and internal monologues of Gracie where trimmed, it would be at least 35% less book. Story really got lost within so many unnecessary words. When the intimate scene happens, the language was so out of place for the characters that had been shaped over sooo many pages. It always feels strange to me when that happens. That could just be my personal preference, and I can easily skip over, but ya, it felt so weird to me. Anyway, I would highly suggest reading some of her other books first before diving into this one. I adore MZs work, and will always read everything she writes, I just wish this one was a little less insecurities, more badassery...
