I designed the cover for this one, so there might be a smidge of bias here. BUT Paulene also uses some of my favourite tropes in this one (I have a weakness for jester characters and witty banter). This is an incredibly fun medieval adventure with everything you would expect from a time travel story of this nature: jousting, sword fighting, poisonings, poor hygiene and battles. I'm so excited to read the rest of this series!
