I read The Last Invitation before this one and much prefer this second read. The author seems to have a penchant for vigilante justice which is odd in a former lawyer. However I loathe pedophiles and the devastation they cause in families but I still wouldn’t recommend out of hand justice. In this book as well there are two brothers, one a pedophile and the other seeming quite normal. Again there is planted evidence and someone acting behind the scenes but the reader does not know who that person might be. The story line is very compelling and certainly captures the reader if you like crime fiction. I hope the author’s other book are more like this and less unresolved than the first one I read.
