Trigger Warning: parental abandonment, brief mentions of cheating spouse and death of a loved one recounted

Two brothers. Two fathers. One mystery to solve and one game to play. As Grayson works to protect those he loves, Jameson chases the thrill of winning. But even these two brothers can't predict the secrets that will be uncovered or how their lives will be forever changed.

Well, this was disappointing. What did I love? The flashbacks! I couldn't get enough of young Gray and Jamie. Unfortunately that's about the only thing I loved. Avery and Jameson really carried this, although their storyline still felt overly complicated at times. And other than their chemistry, there was ZERO ROMANCE in this. I still think a Grayson romance was foreshadowed, so maybe it's coming in the next book? Speaking of Grayson, I swear the author hates him. He deserves the world, but his storyline was so boring. I just wasn't that invested in the mystery or the characters that were introduced. Also, Nash and Xander were practically non-existent and Libby and Max were actually non-existent. Will I read the next book? Yes, but only because I DEMAND JUSTICE FOR GRAYSON! Now someone please message me, because I need to rant.
