This starts off with Sawyer realising nothing is ever going to happen with his straight best friend Preston so he tries to move on… with a guy who is not only suspiciously physically similar to Preston but also in the same department at their university.

This relationship takes up a good chunk of the book and I didn’t enjoy it bc a) Fitz was a nice guy who didn’t deserve to be someone’s second choice and b) their relationship was going really well so it sucked that Preston could just swoop in and Fitz was immediately forgotten (but not dumped until after Sawyer and Preston started being involved).

So yeah Preston gets jealous and even though in 12 years of friendship he’s never thought of Sawyer that way he decides to kiss him and then pretty much immediately they start banging.

The pacing was just off for me, especially since Preston was presented as asexual/demisexual and hadn’t so much as looked at anyone for 8 years but immediately became the horniest bottom to ever bottom.

Big family drama and a resolution that tied everything up in a bow.

I think I’m going to stick to her Camboys series from now on..

I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
