The Undead Truth of Us

I think I wanted to enjoy this one more than I did. I appreciated the metaphor for grief, but part of me wanted the author to challenge the reader to figure out why the main character perceived people as zombies. There are some great conversations about the ugly parts that exist in all of us. The writing was also beautiful, but the story was a little too slow for me.
