If your heart is broken. That’s all I need to know. I have too much personal sadness to read about it for fictional characters.

I had to DNF this one. It just seemed like never ending misery. Loved Nightingale & really enjoyed The Great Alone but this one just wasn’t the same.
This was heartbreaking definitely. But as far as the writing, it was slow at some points. I love The Nightingale and The Great Alone but this one took some work to get through.
This one is for the true Kristin Hannah fans. It’s entirely devastating but it does have its beautiful moments. If you liked this, I recommend The Winter Garden next!
This was my FAVORITE of Kristen Hannah! Maybe I’m biased because I’m Texan and also moved to California lol but this book was everything to me. Elsa is such a QUEEN!
I love this book but Kristin Hannah is the ultimate serial killer. I love her books and this one didn’t disappoint. Why does everyone have to die?
