** spoiler alert **
Charming! I haven't read much about Fred's almost forgotten sister. I am very intrigued about her life now. Even though this is a work of fiction, her life was portrayed well in events. She was a fantastic dancer, a wife, a mother (yes, it counts, even though her babies never came to term - poor things). 😢
I was surprised by the added story of Violet Wood, whom I know nothing of. Her story, too, had its harshness yet for a love of performance. The two ladies' stories were intertwined very well. I enjoyed this immensely.
Despite this being in the performing world, there wasn't too much dirty humor or innuendo, or foul language. Suitable for older teens.
