I adore Sarah Adams and when I bought The Rule Book and saw it was book 2 of a series, I knew I had to go back and read The Cheat Sheet first. This book is packed full of laughter and banter, and I laughed my way through the entire thing. The story is told from both Bree and Nathan's viewpoints which I loved, and I adored their character arcs. Friends-to-lovers and fake dating are two very lovable tropes and having them together in this hilarious novel was pure perfection. It's also a gamble when friends want to become more, but the chemistry was off the charts with these two, and Adams will have you rooting for them the whole way.

The audiobook is a treasure as well with Renee Dorian narrating Bree and Teddy Hamilton narrating Nathan. They were the perfect match as narrators in my opinion, plus let's just take a moment to appreciate how sexy Hamilton's voice is. Sigh. I also loved that Bree was a ballet teacher who once was going to Juilliard, and I thought she was the perfect strong but flawed leading lady. I appreciated the way Adams mixed anxiety and panic attacks into the story, and if that is a trigger for you, you have been warned. This is a closed-door romance full of adorable quips and funny scenes, and I can definitely see rereading it at some point in the future.
