What could go wrong when you chant an incantation from a random book while drunk? Quite a lot, it turns out. An accidental demon husband and a witch straight out of a horror movie hunting you. 

A Summoned Husband by S. J. Stewart is equal parts horror, comedy, and romance. It begins humorously with Eden and her friends confronting a demon. I enjoyed their friendship and how they stuck together no matter what. Some scenes were genuinely terrifying. I appreciated the character development and the way beliefs were questioned. It was a refreshing take that made me pause and think. This was a delicious dark fantasy that I would recommend to readers. Please check for trigger warnings, as there are quite a few dark themes covered.
