Another breathtaking cover 🤩. I liked this one - maybe a little bit more than the first one. Selah finds herself in The Boundless - she grows so much. The last couple of chapters were written fabulously and really hone in on this character arc. I was like a proud mama bear when she stood up to her stepmother (I was literally yelling at the book like YES GIRL) She may have become strong literally overnight- but it’s due to the trials and tests that she faced, so while it may have not seemed completely organic, for me it worked because it was the last book. I also think this was one of the best portrayals of how going through certain things make you who you are and can alter the course of your life, strengthen you and build confidence.

The romance was sweet and Im so glad she finally figured out who her heart belonged to. The Thor/Loki vibes were an added bonus! There were lots of things I honestly didn’t understand in the plot, but I liked how it didn’t waver my enjoyment, I was more interested in the main characters development. I appreciated how it dealt with some semi hard subjects (child soldiers - think Hansel and Gretelish) but the author did a great job of portraying it without it being uncomfortable. Overall, I enjoyed it and had a fun time reading it.
