Ive read almost two thousand books on a variety of subjects over the years and I can honestly say if someone asked me to give them one book to help them become successful in life it would be this one. Its full of simple, straight-forward advice in 21 key areas of life such as: relationships, career success, leadership, finances, health, courage, happiness, character(my favorite), responsibility, time-management, peace of my mind, and many others. Brian really knocked it out the park with this one. This is one I will re-read every year.

**Update 3/2015**
Since this book has 21 reasonably short chapters, I read one chapter every morning completing the book every 21 days. It takes me about 15-20 min each day.(depending on the length of each chapter) Its a great way to get your day started, you may want to try this as well.

Update 2017**
To be clear, there are better personal development books on the market but very few are more easy to read, practical and cover a broad range of topics like this book.

Update 2021
I still love this book, it has helped me and everyone I’ve recommended it to a lot. There are two other personal development books I think are incredible: the essence of success by earl nightingale(get the full length audio version not the physical book) and the law of success by Napoleon hill.

Carole As you say simple and straight forward, but self discipline is no easy matter every day. I got where I am today with constant enormous self discipline. But he puts a lot of emphasis on $$ and job success. There are many worthwhile goals of self discipline that only bring personal satisfaction. The end of the book goes into some of this.

Carey-Lee D Thanks for this tip!

Martin Schiller That's one hell of a shout out - definitely sold me on reading this. Thanks for the feedback. haha.

Evelien Followed your advice on the one chapter per day, great tip! Although I didn’t like the book much, too many topics, not enough in-depth.
