I didn't find the romance to be believable in the slightest bit. Perhaps it was due to a rush of plot elements that were underdeveloped, but the biggest issue I had was actually how much I disliked Wrenn. She came off as incredibly rude and insensitive (read:overall immature).
(view spoiler)[ How does it seem okay for her to ask Dalton's mother what it was like to watch her husband suffer? No tact at all. And her temper tantrum when she confronted Dalton about how he may or may not be dying was so completely over the top and cruel that I seriously wished that Dalton just told her to screw off. Way to prove that you weren't ready to be told anyway! (hide spoiler)]
I guess it's an okay read if you just want a quick romance with a bit of a taboo element. Otherwise, I'd say this is a book you could probably skip and not miss out on anything.
