bookshelves: horror, my-personal-favorites, own-it, the-big-ones, tim-curran, e-book

I want to thank my friend James for giving me a copy of this book. This book deserves much more exposure than it has, its author deserves a following of millions of rabid fans. This was my first Curran read and it has made him an instant superstar in my eyes. I have already grabbed a couple more of his books. I am going to write a longer review once my group is finished reading so I don't spoil anything for them, but I will say I freaking loved this!

Nancy Oakes I liked this one!

Adam Light It looks good to me, too.

Matthew Although somewhat wordy and repetitive about the fog, this is a great book and I highly recommend bumping it up on your tbr list. I read it about 8 months ago and some of the scenes in it still disturb me.

Adam Light Thanks, man. Consider it bumped!

Char Things are starting to happen faster now...and the stuff coming out of the fog...WOW. Right? :)

Adam Light Holy shit, Charlene! This is the horror novel I always wanted to read. I am grinding through to the 80% mark, so it still has a lot of room to derail, but so far I am beguiled.

Char :)

Kimberly YAY!!!!!

Adam Light Hooray for Tim Curran!

Fear Me (Novella)
The Underdwelling (Novella)
Skin Medicine (horror/western awesomeness)

Worm (Fun creature feature)

Char *GASP* How did I forget Puppet Graveyard?

Bad Char, bad!

Adam Light Alright you two! No more violence unless I am watching! j/k. I like the rec's you gals gave me, thanks. I was looking through my books and have a few of those. I also have Cannibal Corpse. Has anyone read that?

message 15: by Char (new) - rated it 5 stars

Char I have it, but haven't read it yet.
Myself, I am just starting Skull Moon

I do not have that one yet, just finished his Skin Medicine and House of Skin. Skull Moon is, however, in the pile.

Has anyone read his GRAVEWORM yet??? (I have, just want to discuss a few scenes :) )

Adam Light I have Graveworm but can't decide on that or Cannibal Corpse for my next Curran. I also have Hive, but I am in the mood for a quick read. Also toying with Kingdom Of Shadows by Gifune. I am a virgin to his stuff and wonder if that might be good.

11811 (Eleven) I second every favorite Curran listed so far.

Kimberly I'm saving the Hive still, for some unfathomable reason, as well…I have it in both paperback and kindle form….

Now Gifune…..You've really opened a can of worms here! LOL! Charlene, where do we start? (It wouldn't quite be fair to bombard Adam with 50 "top recommendations" all at once….)

message 20: by Chris (new)

Chris Saying Uncle, Judas Goat, View From The Lake are my favorite novellas but you really can't go wrong. Eventually you will read them all I'll bet.

Char LOL Kimberly!
A View From the Lake, Rain Dancers, I could go on and on. :)

LOL Charlene and Chris--Adam won't have time to eat with us throwing titles at him. Personal favorites: Judas Goat, A View From the Lake, Sorcerer…….(still hoarding Saying Uncle on the kindle, Chris), and blah blah blah….until you've read everything the man ever wrote.

Jason Parent Judas Goat has been recommended to me but quite a few people (probably some of those commenting above :) I still haven't gotten to Puppet Graveyard, but I believe i own it.
