by Leslie Caine, 351 pages. I read the large print and for some reason when I pulled it up on Goodreads, the paperback showed up as 400, so I'm using the smaller number. If anyone has read it and has a different page count, let me know.
All the editions have different page numbers I generally use whatever edition I read, or if I read it on my nook I go into Barnes and Noble and look at the page numebrs in the edition I most likely would have purchased, but I do that cuz I want to lot of people use goodreads to get there page numbers

by Janet Evanovich. Recently, I've been feeling that this series is like going to a family reunion, on the in-law side. You go out of duty and obligation, but you don't really enjoy it except for seeing a few people, like Grandma Mazur and Lula. So, I was surprised at how good this one was. One of the things I find most annoying is the "love triangle" between Stephanie, Ranger, and Morelli. Happy to say, Ranger and Morelli barely make an appearance. It mostly focuses on Stephanie, Lula, and Connie. So, not vintage Evanovich at her peak, but worth a read. Finally! 309 pages.

by Alan Bradley. 370 pages. A really unique main character, Flavia. I noticed comments that a lot of people didn't like Flavia, but as you read the book, and learn about her life, it's hard not to sympathize.
20.
by Edna Buchanan. 366 pages. I almost couldn't finish it, couldn't get past the first 60 or so pages. Bad stuff happens to kids and, while not graphic, still upsets me to the point where I often can't read a book.

by Nancy Fairbanks, 292 pages. Not a true mystery, the author made it clear who the bad guys were and what they did. A light, easy read though, with recipes. Some of the recipes in the book sound odd- a fig cake with no flour, no baking, that just needs to sit for 8 days. Sounds gross. 292 pages.

by Carolyn Haines. I love books that are set in the south. My favorite parts of this book are the conversations between the main character, Sarah Booth, and a ghost who was a pre-Civil War slave. 328 pages.

26 by John Elder Robinson. This memoir was written by the older brother of the author of Running with Scissors who has Asperger's Syndrome. It really gives a lot of insight into the mind of someone with AS, especially since many of them are uncomfortable talking about emotional issues. 288 pages.

Shay! You are such a fast reader. I probably would be too. But working so much has made my reading time go down sooooo much. So sad face.
Hi Meghan, I have insomnia so I'm usually up before 4 in the morning. So, I get in a few hours of reading before the rest of the house is up.
30. by Ellen Byerrum. 323 pages.
31. by Dorothy Howell. 265 pages. I don't know why I like this series as the main character is a shopaholic and I've spent $0 on clothes, shoes, and accessories this year. I guess I relate to her because I know what it feels to have that struggle, as an underachiever, when peers start passing you by. It takes a while to make that adjustment to where you understand that life is about happiness not money and feel content with your choices and happy for friends and family who have chosen a different, and more lucrative path. (I'm an insanely happy SAHM.)

by Ridley Pearson, 367 pages. I read this for a Summer Reading Challenge. Very quickly paced thriller, interesting characters. Never read the author before, but I'm planning to add his other books to my TBR pile.
35. by David Grann. An account of David Mann's quest to discover what happened to explorer Percy Fawcett, who disappeared in the Amazon. I find that sometimes non-fiction books get bogged down when providing the necessary facts, background, etc. This book was exciting and interesting from beginning to end. 277 pages

by Paige Shelton, 292 pages. This book was surprisingly good. A lot of books have come out in the cozy genre of cooking/craft mysteries that are just adequate. Feels like people are jumping on the bandwagon rather than having a good story to tell. This book isn't one of those whose author is just going through the motions.

by Christina Dodd. 380 pages. This is a "romantic suspense" and I don't normally read romance books, but I got it when I was running low on books and desperate. It's just sat there in the pile because some other book came along and it finally got to the point where I couldn't renew it any more. So, when I started reading it, I was kind of resentful because I was forced to read it. However, a really good, quick read, lighter on the romance than expected. (Which is fine for me.) 380 pages.

by Christopher Moore. 309 pages. Good book despite a weak ending. I believe this is supposed to be the final book- the trilogy is complete. So, kind of sad to see it end the way it did.
50. Scoop! by Hannah Dennison. 300 pages. Why do I keep picking books where the main character is a ditzy, stupid, annoying woman?

by Alan Brennert. 389 pages. Cannot comment on this yet- there are many good things in this book and an equal or greater amount of things wrong with it. It was, at times, an infuriating read- I had to put it down every 40-50 pages until the very end.
52. by Jessica Fletcher. 274 pages. I think you have to have liked the series to like the books. Then, it's kind of a nice bit of nostalgia and mystery in a book.

by Larry Doyle. This novel attempts to provide social commentary/satire on suburban life, high school, politics, etc. He's also trying to write a comic novel, full of jokes and humor. Because he won't fully commit to either, he fails at both. Are all novelists so obsessed with writing the Great American Novel that they forget to write a good novel? 354 pages.

Was this good? I'm currently reading the original Pride and Prejudice, but haven't gotten very far in it. :).
It's kind of embarrassing to admit, but I kind of read Pride and Prejudice so I could read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. That's what kind of sealed my decision to read it. I now a lot of purists probably hate the zombie part, but parts of Pride and Prejudice made me angry. You know, the way women were treated, the fact that their only way to function in society was as someone's wife or daughter. So, it was kind of refreshing in the zombie version to hear Elizabeth say she wanted to cut people's heads off. What people on other threads have said is that the zombie version retains about 70-85 of the original text. So, it's kind of a nice way to draw people into a classic that maybe they wouldn't normally have read. Some people have given up on the original, read the zombie version, then gone back and finished the original.
I once felt the way you did but with a different book. I had to read Portrait Of A Lady by Henry James. I couldn't understand why a woman would stay with a husband that beat her. I liked Pride Prejudice because of how lite and fun Jane Austin was. Jane did not ever marry. I wonder what kind of stories she would have told today.

by Stephen Parrish. 367 pages. Wish I could have given it 3 1/2 stars. An excellent attempt by a first time author. Well researched, compelling read.
62.
by Neil Gaiman. 336 pages. One of my new must read authors- planning to read everything he's written.
63. by Carla Neggers. 350 pages. Not exactly a cozy, not exactly a thriller, mostly suspense without the whole woman in jeopardy theme. Good, solid read.
64. by Julia Child. 414 pages. I remember watching her cooking show as a child. It was the first time I realized how well you can experience another place and culture through its food. Wonderful book.
