I highly suggest this book NOT being the first one you read about dyslexia. Hold these theories very loosely in your hand and keep researching.

"Each case of dyslexia is different, because dyslexia is an unintentionally self-created condition. No two dyslexics have created it exactly the same." I disagree. I am skeptical about many of his points so far. But I am willing to continue and keep a semi-open mind. I am unimpressed so far and I'm already seeing glimpses of stereotypes I hope are not main discussion points.

On chapter 13. Pausing for a bit. Very interesting. But I need to find a print copy. Ebooks drive me nuts and I'm not sure why. I want to keep reading though.

Though she has not used the term "nature study", I am reading the experience of an adult woman experiencing nature study for the first time. Her enthusiasm for this epiphany of hers is very interesting, though it might not be as much of an epiphany for certain audiences. I also can't help making biblical connections, such as considering the birds and looking at the lilies and anxiety.

She states being a liberal atheist. But many of her statements mirror some very deep, central Christian beliefs. I wonder if she knows how much connection there is. Pages 61 and 62 are very obvious connections for the Christian reader. I'm enjoying this! Very interesting thoughts.

This is not keeping my attention well. All characters are unconvincing so far; flat. It's reading more like a TV script right now. I'm not super excited at this book being nearly 500 pages long. I was excited to *finally* win an advanced copy of something on GoodReads, especially seeing it was by Kristin Hannah, but I'm disappointed so far. Hope it gets better soon.
