Daniel C. Miller
1953 – 2022
Originally from Independence, Iowa. Dan passed away after a long battle of health complications at his home in San Antonio, Texas. Dan was born in Millersburg, Ohio to the parents of Christian and Ada Miller. Dan was one of 14 children. His family moved to Iowa when Dan was 3 years old. Growing up Amish, Dan took over the family farm at the age of 14 when he went into partnership with his Dad. At the age of 22 Dan left the Amish way of life and worked at Corn Blossom Foods in Independence, Iowa. Later marrying Jeanette Van Gorder. The couple had two children, Melissa Artema and Joshua Miller and made their home near Winthrop, Iowa until later in 1985 they moved to Oklahoma. Raised Melissa and Josh there, later transferring to Osceloa, Arkansas, then to Texas, Maryland and back to Texas. During these times Dan worked at National Beef Packing Company, Viskase Foods, raised Ostriches, was a Farrier and an Auctioneer. Dan was honest, hardworking, strong faith and loved his family. Dan was always searching for that four-leaf clover. Dan was never afraid to try new things and was a Survivor!
Dan will be missed terribly and loved forever in our hearts!
Now we have another angel watching over us! May you rest in peace my sweetheart!
