Winchester Super X Model 1, serial #1. 12ga, semi-automatic shotgun, 30” barrel, ventilated rib, factory select burl-wood stock, finely checkered, gold inlaid M-1 on left side of receiver, ventilated rib, Improved Modified Trap choke marked. In fine to excellent original condition. Letter from R.M. Pelton, Vice President on Winchester stationary to Gary Corpier, President, Interstate Distributing Company, Little Rock Arkansas, confirms in summary, this is the first production model of the SuperX shotgun. Also, this gun was presented to Mr. Corpier’s friend, Lloyd Pierce as retirement as National Sales Manager for Olin’s Winchester Group. Hand signed, dated July 19, 1981. The gun has seen a little use, shows a couple spots in the stock, some small scratches, 98% original blue, interior excellent, wood is exceptionally well grained and checkered, a key collectible and #1 of production models are seldom offered for sale.
