Doom [2005]

Doom follows John Grimm (Karl Urban), a Marine who is nicknamed "Reaper" (as in grim reaper) by the other members of his squad. Heading up the squad is Sarge, played by The Rock. As with the game, they're stationed at a Martian research facility owned and operated by the UAC -- the Union Aerospace Corporation. The UAC facility is researching and developing teleportation devices. Among the scientists working there is John's estranged sister, Samantha (Rosamund Pike). Needless to say, strange things are happening at the facility. Inhabitants are dead or missing, frayed lab coats and severed limbs are discovered, and there seems to be little explanation as to why...
