This page contains information on defeating one of the main bosses of Diablo Immortal's Realm of Damnation, The Butcher.

This boss is part of the questline in the Realm of Damnation, where you must seek out the voices of the Nephelem that have been imprisoned and tortued by Skarn. The second that you will find in the Bloody Cavern is that of Mikayel, who is guarded by the infamous Butcher of Diablo fame.

The Butcher Boss Fight

When you approach the captive angel only for them to be lowered into a pit, the Butcher will appear wielding a massive axe and sickle, and as you might have come to expect by now, you'll be in for a formidable fight.

Along with his swipes and normal attacks with his cleaver and sickle, he may also extend his arm back for a moment before slamming his axe down, and will stun you for a brief period if you aren't careful.

The Butcher will almost always start with a rushing charge attack with almost no warning, and may be hard to dodge unless you have movement skills at the ready to strafe away from him.

He can also fire out his chain sickles in several links that will pull in ranged attackers, and is also difficult to dodge unless you are far enough away or are constantly strafing.

Once he summons in a group of Hellhounds, be extra wary to take them out quickly so you don't get overwhelmed, as he has plenty more moves to trap you in.

Once the Butcher starts roaring, he'll cause huge chunks of meat and bodies to fall from the sky and detonate on impact all around you, so be ready to move away and disengage until they have fallen.

He may also follow up his stunning slam attack with a roar that ignites the ground in front of him, usually centered on your position. Get out of the flaming area as soon as your stun is removed, or you'll risk taking a lot of damage fast.

Once you've whittled down all of The Butcher's health bar, it will perish in the flames, leaving its large axe behind. Mikayel will call for your aid, but the lever will have been destroyed - so use the Butcher's giant cleaver as a lever to save the captive angel.
