Monster Strategy
Kirin is kind of a weird fight. Initially it seems like it’s a harmless enough monster. It’s one of, if not the smallest “large monster” of the roster, and this leaves hunters often slipping into complacency. Don’t fall for it! Kirin still packs enough punch to kick you to the cart. Kirin will base its attacks on lightning and is able to summon lighting from above. It should be avoided at all costs.
Bring lots of nulberries, as Thunderblight is no joke. Hit with Thunderblight, you’ll be extremely likely to be paralyzed should you be hit with lightning again, leaving you HIGHLY vulnerable, and this is where Kirin is at his most dangerous.
Kirin can also become enraged, which you can recognize by its especially electrified nature in which its mane stands up and glows. While in this phase, its skin will become even tougher, causing many weapons to bounce.
