How to Earn VC Fast
In WWE2K18, you unlock bonus items and purchase upgrades through the use of Virtual Currency (VC). You can earn VC in a variety of ways when playing any mode of the game, including the online modes. VC is necessary to unlock items in the Store tab, purchase new customization items for your MyPlayer and Custom Superstars, and buy attribute points for your Myplayer in MyCareer mode.
Earning VC can be a chore at times, but there are specific ways you can increase the amount of VC you earn over time. Here are some tips on gaining more VC to spend in WWE2K18.
One-Sided Single Matches
The simplest, yet time consuming, way to earn VC is to play multiple singles matches in PLAY mode. You earn VC for every match that you finish, whether you win or lose. However, if you want to tip the odds in your favor and gain more VC for every matchup, there's a few things you can do.
Picking a heavyweight or super heavyweight wrestler and going against a cruiserweight will make the match one-sided. Playing as the heavyweight, you'll be able to gain Specials/Finishers faster than your opponent, as well as deal more damage quickly. You can also change some of the settings before the match to tip the odds further in your favor, such as NO DQ and Falls Count Everywhere.
During you match, make sure you constantly aim to get high ratings before defeating your opponent. Higher ratings on matches means you're rewarded more for entertaining the crowd. This can be done by performing special moves, finishers, high risk moves, and even using weapons in No DQ matches.
Complete your match as normal, then hit rematch to fight again. Repeating this process again and again will keep earning you more VC for every match you finish. The higher the rating of the match, the more VC you will earn each time. This can get time consuming and seem like a grind, but its the most efficient and simplest way to earn quicker VC.
Earning VC from MyCareer
Playing through your MyCareer mode will earn you VC for each match and optional objectives you complete. This is depends on the storylines you are part of, what rivalries you have, as well as your status as a Company Man or Fan Favorite superstar.
You can influence the amount of VC you earn in MyCareer if you max out your Influence as a Company Man. The final bonus for Company Man gives you the ability to earn Double VC for all of your matches, as well as speak with Mr.McMahon. If you have multiple MyPlayer superstars, it pays very well to become a Company Man on your first playthrough.
MyPlayer T-Shirt Sales
After each week of WWE events in MyCareer, you'll earn a bonus VC amount for your popularity among fans that buy your shirt. If you have your MyPlayer superstar wear the same attire every week, fans won't be excited about you and not buy your shirt. Thus you won't gain bonus VC each week.
To make sure you do, change the attire of your MyPlayer superstar every few shows as you play through MyCareer. You can do this by either speaking to the Seamstress backstage or through the main menu in MyPlayer.
Loot Cases
Every now and then you'll earn a Loot Case as a reward from finishing matches and/or completing objectives in MyCareer. Loot cases reward you with unlockables, but they can also give you a boost of VC randomly. The better the quality of Loot Case, the better the rewards you can get from earning it.
You can purchase Loot Cases from the Loot Case store if you already have enough VC to do so. Sometimes you can gain a large amount of VC by spending a little bit to purchase one.
Loot Cases are also earned weekly in Road to Glory mode. In order to receive one however, you need to complete matches and earn enough stars for the week to qualify for recieving it at the start of the next week.
