Baby Assassins 2 (Japanese title: ベイビーわるきゅーれ 2ベイビー, Beibî warukyûre 2 beibī; lit. "Baby Valkyries 2 Babies", previously released as Baby Assassins: 2 Babies) is a 2023 Japanese action-comedy film and the sequel to the 2021 film Baby Assassins. The film continues to follow teenage hitmen Chisato Sugimoto (Akari Takaishi) and Mahiro Fukagawa (Saori Izawa) as they are suspended from their organization due to them blowing their cover while stopping a robbery. As they search for an new job to secure their dwindling finances, they are targeted by Makoto (Tatsuomi Hamada) and Yuri Kamimura (Joey Iwanaga), two brothers and fellow broke hitmen who plan to kill the girls to secure their spots from their organization. The film follows the girls as they defend each other from the two brothers. Like the previous film, the film was directed and written by Yugo Sakamoto, and the action sequences were directed and choreographed by action director Kensuke Sonomura. The film was released to Japanese theaters on March 24, 2023, and would be followed by both a television series, Baby Assassins Everyday!, and a proper sequel, Baby Assassins: Nice Days, both premiering in 2024.

The following weapons were used in the film Baby Assassins 2:

Handguns

Beretta 92FS

Makoto (Tatsuomi Hamada) and Yuri Kamimura (Joey Iwanaga) are given Beretta 92FSs from their handler sometime after the film's prologue. The Berettas serve as their main handgun throughout the film.

Yuri cocks and aims his Beretta at Chisato from under a restaurant table.
BONUS: The film's director, Yugo Sakamoto, correctly identified the gun as a Beretta while explaining how he originally directed the scene in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Springfield Armory Model V10 Ultra Compact

Chisato (Akari Takaishi) uses the Springfield Armory Model V10 Ultra Compact as her sidearm. According to firearms VFX artist Kazuhisa Yusa in his personal blog, the pistols used for filming were made using the slide of an MGC model gun, modified barrels from both another MGC gun and the Tanio Koba GM-7, and the frame of a Western Arms gas gun. Parts from the MGC GM5 were used to make the pistol more closely resemble a Springfield Armory compact 1911. The model used in close-ups was an unmodified Western Arms gas gun with Springfield Armory engravings. The pistol's sides and metal parts have been blued.

Springfield Armory Tactical Response Pistol

Mahiro (Saori Izawa) uses the Springfield Armory Tactical Response Pistol as her sidearm. According to firearm VFX artist Kazuhisa Yusa on his X account, the pistol was made from a Tanio Koba airsoft TRP with VZ Operator II grips and Wilson Combat magazines.

Tokarev TT-33

Makoto (Tatsuomi Hamada) and Yuri Kamimura (Joey Iwanaga) use blued Tokarev TT-33s in the film's opening. The Tokarevs are implied to be their usual handgun of choice before their handler Mr. Akagi gives both of them Berettas. The pistols used in the film's production are airsoft replicas by KSC and Tanaka Works and were blued by the film's firearm VFX artist and editor Kazuhisa Yusa.

Mamoru Tasaka (Atomu Mizuishi) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 360 as his sidearm. Firearm VFX artist Kazuhisa Yusa made the revolver for the film by using a SAKURA M360J (a licensed Japanese clone of the Model 360) as a base and replacing the grip.

Submachine Guns

Mana Miyauchi (Tomo Nakai) briefly uses a KRISS Vector while attempting to kill the Kamimura brothers. Despite what the film's poster depicts, Chisato does not use the Vector in the film.
