CMAT is a Common Management Admission Test that is held each year. The NTA will start the registration process for the same most likely in February 2025. CMAT 2025 Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the CMAT 2025 exam dates in February 2025. The exam will be held in May 2025 in two sessions. Candidates will be required to register online to take the CMAT 2025 exam. The registration window for CMAT 2025 is expected to be open from February to March 2025. The registration fee shall be Rs. 2000 for General male candidates, while Reserved categories, female, and transgender candidates are required to pay Rs. 1000 based on the past year notification.

What is CMAT Exam - Full Form and Details

CMAT full form is Common Management Admission Test.The CMAT exam is similar to CAT exam exam, however, the difficulty level is lesser than CAT exam. This is a national-level business aptitude test administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to MBA and PGDM programs offered by institutions approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Initially conducted by AICTE, the responsibility was transferred to NTA in 2019.

The CMAT exam comprises 100 questions, covering five sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

CMAT ranks as the third most popular MBA entrance exam in India, following the CAT and XAT, with around 75,000 candidates appearing annually. Approximately 1,300 business schools across India, both government and private, accept CMAT scores. Notable institutions include Great Lakes Institute of Management, JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya, Welingkar Mumbai, and PUMBA. Additionally, candidates can use their CMAT scores to participate in the MAH MBA Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

The registration for CMAT exam is done online on the NTA website. Candidates are required to fill out the online application form to appear for the exam. The steps to fill out the form is mentioned below.

How to Fill CMAT Application Form?

• Visit the NTA website and click on the 'New Candidate Registration’ link.
• Register for CMAT 2025 exam by filling in the details such as Name, Email ID, Phone Number etc. 
• A registration number and password will be sent to your email address and mobile number. 
• Login using it and proceed to complete the application process. 
• Fill in other details in it. 
• Upload the required documents in the correct size and format. 
• Lastly pay the application fee for CMAT form 2025 and take a print out of the filled in application form.

CMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The National Testing Agency has specified the CMAT eligibility criteria in its notification. The CMAT 2025 eligibility criteria is as follows:

• Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply for CMAT exam 2025. 
• Academic qualifications: Candidates who have graduated in any discipline can fill the CAMT form. Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to fill out the form. 
• Age limit: No age limit is there to apply for the CMAT exam.
• Number of Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts to fill out the CMAT application form. 

CMAT Exam Pattern 2025

NTA has made some changes in the CMAT exam pattern. Hence, the candidates must make sure that they go through the given paper pattern in the table below. 

• The CMAT exam consists of 5 sections where all the questions are objective in nature. 
• Each section has 20 questions.
• The total exam duration for CMAT exa is 3 Hours.
• For each correct answer 4 marks will be awarded while for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
