It's great connecting with you Andrew. How are you today ?
I am doing great. Thank you for asking :)
To answer the question, these 2 faults could be related to an issue on the ACC circuit, which could be caused by couple possibilities :
In order to determine the cause of the issue, the first step would be to connect a diagnostic scan tool to the vehicle in order to retrieve any faults stored in the drive assist module. That would give a good diagnostic starting point.
Would you have access to a diagnostic scan tool ?
These are wires.
Would you have access to a VCDS ?
If there are warning lamps, faults are stored.
These faults will not set in the ECM or ABS, you will need a scan tool that can access all the vehicle modules. The VCDS is the best one you can get, we use it at the dealership.
That would be the first step, the fault will indicate exactly which circuit is failing. I would not suggest starting a diagnostic on the driver assist system without the proper tools, it would be similar to go deer hunting while being blind.
Just saying by experience, these systems are all managed electronically.
The brake lamps ?
Parking bake or ABS ?
Any faults stored in the ABS module ?
Something is wrong, your scan tool may not be able to access the ABS module neither, the reason why no faults are set.
If you like working on your vehicle, this is a must have, you won't regret it.
That will be the best 200$ ever spent.
It's a vert powerful scan tool .
You will need a PC laptop to run it.
That has an USB port for the cable.
You will be able to code modules, program features on the vehicle, this is an amazing must have tool.
Of course.
Output test, programming, relearns, live data monitoring, etc ...
The only thing it does not do is programming keys to the immobilizer.
Since the ABS light is on, that could be related to a wheel speed sensor connector, that has been disconnected or damaged by mistake.
Yes, there is one on each wheel, on the spindles.
No worries. The Brake light can be caused by a parking brake issue ( electronic ) or by the brake fluid level sensor.
The issue may be with the EPB system. Good news, using the VCDS will give you access to this module as well.
In the meantime, you can make sure that the brake fluid level is not too low, since it will trigger the same light.
That would be possible.
Even if the EPB system works correctly, an intermittent EPB switch or caliper failure could also trigger this light.
Yes, at the master cylinder on the driver side of the engine compartment, on the brake booster.
Yes, this is the one. If you remove it, how is the level ?
Sounds good.
It may be too low.
This is correct.
If you disconnect the connector, does the light go out ?
After disconnecting it.
Perfect, then you can reconnect it.
Yes, Dot 4
Sounds good.
Of course.

Good afternoon Andrew, i hope you are doing well.
Since oil was added and the issue not resolved, the next step will be to use a capable scan tool in order to retrieve the faults. That will indicate the failing circuit so no more speculating on possible causes.
It will be a lot more efficient.
My pleasure :)
